Subject: RENOVATION OF GPO BUILDING MURREE
Detailed Program per Clause 14.5 of Particular Conditions of Contract

Please find below the detailed program as per clause 14.5 of Particular Conditions of Contract of the
Contract documents.
1) Execution of Works: The purpose of this project is to restore the building to its original shape when
it was build 100 years ago. Since it is not clear what additions/alterations were made to the original
structure of the building during its life. In the absence of As-built drawings; physical
strength/condition of material and also the stability of the structure are quite doubtful; therefore
extra care needs to be taken during dismantling process. Congested location of site, weather
conditions & affiliation of local community with this building are all factors which are to be handled
amicably with the help of all stake holders. Site will be cordoned off from the surroundings before
starting the tedious dismantling process. Dismantling would start based on the initial drawings given
step by step starting from disconnecting the services, removal of plaster, removal of false ceiling
followed by removal of trusses under the guidance of the Consultant & Engineers rep. Debris to be
removed on daily basis from the site as we dont have enough space to store anything at site. The
salvage material like wood, GI sheets etc since is the property of the Client needs to be removed on
immediate basis from the site due to scarcity of space. Construction would start immediately after
reasonable area of site dismantling is done and work space and quantum of work is available.
2) Labor Employment: The priority would be given to the locally available labor having necessary
expertise and helpful as we are building a project in their community. In case no suitable skilled
labor is not available labor would be hired from other areas apart from our own labor. The type &
strength of labor would depend upon the quantum of work of various activities available. If required
necessary arrangements would be made for their messing & lodging.
3) Local Material Procurement: Good as per requirements & if available at competitive rates would be
purchased from the local market otherwise procured from the markets of other cities. Necessary
arrangements would be made to secure & store them at site. Storing materials other than at site is
not in our plans as it would be great mess looking at the re-transportation from the stored place to
populated location of site.
4) Material Imports: Not required as per the SOW given in the tender documents.
