Preamble
Respected users , sincerely thank you for the use of the products of ZKS , Please read the
manual and understand the basic structure of the product , performance , function and master
installation , using and maintenance and management of basic knowledge.
ZKS terminals are using the most advanced technology identification (RF / Fingerprint
Identification), equipping with the controller alone, attendance doors to achieve integration,
patented design and an unique wall hanging generous beautiful structure. Flexibility in the
allocation of various identification methods, such as encoding recognition, fingerprint identification,
identification numbers + code, unique appraisal photography functions, the 1.3 million pixel high
definition color cameras, instantly completed appraisal photographs and show of personal color
photographs and information, identification and effective alternatives to prevent replacing.
Unique work of the six models, 16 function keys, and six fixed shift to work, can effectively
distinguish different on-duty, off-duty, out, back, overtime, off-overtime and set the system

news releases and other functions. And also be used for card files, fingerprint acquisition,
operational managers etc..
Terminal operation simply and efficiently, with identification, advertising and other main

Terminals use standard TCP network protocol, and support the U-disk storage of data
transmission, meet user in the network environment without network.
ARM9 terminal hardware platforms use advanced embedded Linux operating system,
round-the-clock work. Equipment is stable and reliable. Can also be used independently from the
online computers, storage capacity can be dynamically allocated and expanded suitable application
for enterprises of all scale.
Terminal support proximity card and Mifare one card, the error rate and the rejection rate are all
low., high recognition rate, high reliability, stability, long life, large-capacity attendance record,
high precision clock. Reasonable structure of device, all major components are imported and
external reader for meeting the requirements of different users.

1.3 system Introduction
T&A system is divided into two parts : Terminal and T&A management software.
Terminals primarily are responsible for day-to-day T&A, build card files, open multimedia
functions. If terminal will be linked to supply power, plug network for communication with the
management.
SQLserver2000 database management software, establish staff files and other information to
terminal by TCP/IP and upload logs to management software to statistic report of shift according
to set of manager.
Terminal and management communicate by TCP/IP or USB.

1.4 Section IV Work principle
1.4.1 T&A with card reader
T&A terminal is by a receiving terminal identification card which records digital information
storage equipment, as well as external equipment (such as locks, open buttons and other
equipment) controller.
There is particular frequency induction coil in internal cards and CMOS chip, each card
corresponds to the only one number. Establish staff files in the management.
By appropriate means for transmitting to the terminal, when cardholders wipe the card
readers areas with card, and instances of the time and the information was recorded and stored in
the terminal. Then, by appropriate means of communication they will be sent to the T&A
management computer, by management software statistic and analysis, the statements displayed in
attendance. Excel spreadsheet for printing also derived. That the staff wipes card terminals if this
card did not register is invalid.
The distance of reading card according to different model:2.5-10cm (Mifare one card) or
2.5-15cm(proximity card); The best direction of wiping card is the same level of keypad ; Please
do not too fast when wiping card for sure stable data;

Fingerprint terminals are through fingerprint image recording equipment to receive digital signals
recognition memory, as well as external equipment (such as locks, door buttons and other
equipment) controller.
Irreplaceable fingerprint is the only show ones status symbol, Fingerprint sensor capture the
human body and then combine of software and fingerprint image acquisition, every one could
register ten fingerprints, and make corresponding encrypt documents are stored in the machine.
When staff put their fingers onto the sensor, sensor will compare the fingerprint taken just
now with the original image of the first register, so it is very important for us to register the good
fingerprint for the first time. It is show successful if fingerprints are accordant, or else, that there
are some differences between them, such as, too dry, too wet, too dirty, exposed skin or no
register and so on. So for fingerprint registering, the recommendation of the fingers: the thumb,
index finger and middle finger.
After staff put their fingers onto sensor, their info of fingers and time of T&A are recorded
into terminal and then transmit their info from terminal to computer by appropriate modes, such
as, TCP/IP, RS232 or RS485 and USB, after deal with these data by software and get the reports
and results for the reference.

2.2 Equipment Installation
Installation notice
Design of terminal equipment is installed in the room. If installed outdoors, it
should be noted that water exposed to the adverse circumstances.
Must ensure that the equipment is installed with metal backplane grounded, in
order to avoid current pulse and shock the user or terminal equipment.
To prevent electrical short-circuiting, so recommend not to share power with other
equipment.
Avoid direct exposure to sunlight or a large number of sandstorms in the region,
should not affect the keyboard, the normal use of cameras or fingerprint.
Venue: the small size of terminal hanging can be installed at any place. If terminal
as an access control and T&A, the equipment should be installed beside the door so that user can
be in and out automatically before doors unlocked.
about the site of installation, there are two points as follows: one is that enough air
is useful for dispel heat. The other one is that do not install near the resource of heat, far away
irradiation directly and lots of dust
The installation of metal backboardit is the necessary accessory and it can
release static made by users by connect to terra line of power supply.

2.2.1 Installation

2.2.2 Connection
2.2.2.1 Use standard Power Supply

Terminals were fitted with a power adapter (input AC220V output DC12V/2A), making connector
plugs plug round coaxial power jack output terminals and then can work.
2.2.2.2 Use DC Power Supply

If the need to use other power adapter, the power output must meet the following criteria need
attention :

DC12V 10% supply voltage, current 2A continuous power supply. positive and negative
electrodes connected to the correct connector shown in the figure to be on the normal work.
NoticeSupply voltage, current, polarity machines that do not meet the requirements may cause
permanent damage and such damage is not within the scope of the warranty

2.2.2.3 Connection of Access Control

Terminals can be connected to the electronic control lock to control device. If the electronic
control lock of DC12V voltage and current 500mA continuous work, so 800mA can start to
use the current mode power supply left chart. If the electronic control lock do not meet the
above requirements, that will be must use Outside supply mode right chart, Please refer to the
manual of the electronic control lock.
Notice: That connection is not according to drawing or use wrong outside power supply may
cause terminal or E-lock disabled or permanent damage, it will be out of range of period of
warranty, manufacturer will not bear the added loss as result of .
2.2.2.4 Connection of indicator light

Terminals can be connected to additional indicator equipment, If the indicator for DC12V voltage
current 500mA continuous work. 800mA can start to use the current mode power supply Left
chart.If indicator light dont meet the above requirements ,we have to use outside power supply
right chartplease refer to manual of electronic control lock. You only choose one mode
between indicator and electronic control lock and different connection need different modes
(Please refer to set up some output section).

2.2.2.5 RS232 serial

Terminal can be connected to computer by RS232,please refer to the above chart.

2.3 network
Note :
Terminal equipment by standard RJ-45 cables connected directly to your existing
network
But you must make sure your computer has been installed and set for TCP/IP
Terminal equipment can also connected to the PC directly to the RJ-45 cable
network mouth
Set IP address and test terminal whether pc is working in network by PING.

2.3.3.1 By TCP network connection, set up IP addresses

Note: The IP address is only for TCP communications.
Test whether the terminals in the network operations, from the implementation of computer

2.3.3.2 Connected By USB Flash Disk

Chapter 4 Rapid operational guidelines

4.1 Introduction of basic functions

4.1.1. The installation of super managers
Please land on equipment management interface, and click MENU on the attendance interface
to record the super administrator number at the coming dialog box ( The number is 0000 when
leaving factory), then click ENT to enter equipment management menu after recording
administrator number.
After enter equipment management interface, it will show 1-8 items system menu. Click 6 to
enter Advanced setting interface, it will show setting menu. Click 4 to enter administrator
identification setting, it will show operation items, revise super administrator number. Click 2 to
show current administrator number, click ENT to change the number on the coming dialog box,
and click ENT to confirm.

Click ESC to come back attendance main interface, click MENU to record the revised super
administrator number, click ENT to enter equipment management interface.
Note: If prohibit super administrator, you must setup terminal administrator, this can setup on
management software, then transmit to terminal to take effect ( or setup on the terminal, transmit
to management end, then up-transmit to terminal), please see the details Setup terminal
administrator on 3 second of chapter 4.

4.1.2 Overall operating flow

4.1.2.1 Startup and turn off time attendance machine
4.1.2.1.1 Insert power adapter (Import AC220V, export DC12V/2A) export pin into terminal
roundness power supply jack, turn on power supply, then terminal startup.
4.1.2.1.2 Pull out power supply directly to turn off, or press rest startup ley to execute rest
condition
.
4.1.2.2 Terminal network communication setting
Terminal is very similar with a PC, which can setup IP address and other network communication
directly, and can connect with management PC directly, or connect with LAN.
4.1.2.2.1 IP address: Click MENU on terminal main interface, and load on device manage,
input 0000 (default 0000 when leave factory, can be revised), click ENT key to
enter device manage, press 1 to show normal setting operation interface.
4.1.2.2.2 If setup IP address, click key 1 to setup current parameter value, then click ENT key
to record IP address (this is decided with company network address, such as
192.168.0.160), then click ENT to confirm.
4.1.2.2.3 Setup local IP address, subnet mask and gateway as local LAN (Input by #/. key).
ESC device manage interface, you can transmit data under normal communication network.

4.1.2.3 Add device on management software
Add new device on Device service procedure, the IP address must be the same as device IP
address (consult software).

Note:
If system hint connection is overtime, this means network setting/connection is wrong).
If has signal read-card machine, you can establish staff files on software to read card to the staff
directly (consult software).
If hasnt the signal read-card machine, you also can read card to the staff on terminal, refer to the
Following steps:
4.1.2.3.1 Add new staff archives.
4.1.2.3.2 Transmit staff archives to terminal.
4.1.2.3.3 Add card archives, and load on device management by administrator identity, then
click 2 key to enter Archives management interfacethen use / key on staff list
to select the staff that need to read card, then click 6 key to spring a hint column, here
put card on reading card area, finally, hint to read card successfully.
4.1.2.3.4 Turn back to device manage main interface, it will show personal information and
photo when staff punch card to identify, this means read-card is validate.
4.1.2.3.5 If you want to transmit terminal read-card information to manager terminal, you must
execute Upload terminal operation log on transmission procedure, then the terminal
will add staff read card information to management software, then staff archives has a
corresponding card number, which is the same as terminal information.
Note: After upload operation log, the operation log on terminal will be deleted automatically, so
you must re-download log, and download newest database information to the terminal.

4.1.2.4 Query attendance report
4.1.2.4.1 Upload staff attendance records on terminal to management software database
through Device service procedure.
4.1.2.4.2 Circulate management software, define shift time period, and shift order for the staff.
4.1.2.4.3 Execute Analyse data on controlling platform, after analyse uploaded data, you can
query attendance stat report (consult software).

4.2 Menu functions

Startup terminal, it will show main interface on the screen, you can use MENU key and
numbers key to enter terminal system management interface, you can setup system parameter and
system functions.
On main interface, click MENU key, then spring input column, record super administrator
number (default 0000 when leave factory), then click ENT key to enter device manage interface
(administrator number can modify by yourself).
There are 8 items system menu, you can click 1-8 key to execute the corresponding operation
to enter setting interface or click / to enter operation items, then click ENT key to
execute. On operation interface, click 0 / ESC to cancel /back to higher operation interface.
4.2.1 General : Users usually operate and must operate some setting items, such as IP address,
volume, time and so on.
4.2.2 Archives : Check staff archives information, read card directly for staff/ collect fingerprint,
setup attendance password, setup management level, query personal details information, stat
archives and administrator numbers, force photos (staff numbers that saved photos).
4.2.3 Query: it can query identification records, access setting, operation log and disc storage
space.
4.2.4 Identification: Can identify direction, manner, users can select identification manner and
direction according to the requests.
4.2.5 U DISK : You can use U disc to export/import data, update volume, background and other
data information.
4.2.6 Advanced : Can adjust some adjustable system parameters, network parameter, video setup,
Ring time period setup, validated admin setup and so on.
4.2.7 Power: Can setup automatic turn on/off time, sleep time, wakeup time and sleep type.
4.2.8 System Maintenance : Delete uselessness attendance records and photographs, recover
default setting when leave factory, check device model, version, mainboard system setting
information.

Click 1-8 keys to select operation items to enter lower setting, lower setting items is as following:
4.2.1. General

Operation: Click 1-8 keys to execute the corresponding parameter setting, then click ENT key to
modify/save setting, click ESC key to cancel this setting.
4.2.1.1 Volume setup: Adjust volume. On setting items show current parameter value, click
ENT key, parameter value is changed into changeable condition, click key to reduce volume,
click key to increase volume, click ENT key after confirm parameter value.
4.2.1.2 Birthday prompt: Setup birthday prompt, on setting items show select interface, click
ENT key to become selectable condition, click / key to select Disable/First prompt(hint
only one time)/All day to prompt, click ENT key to validate.
4.2.1.3 Relay output: Select relay (access controller) output way.
Indicator light: After identification, relay will sound output information (if indicator light---bright,
or if electric lock ---open), this means there is no access rule limited.
Access way: After identification, we take access rules as standard, such as validate access period,
prohibited period, and NO/NC period.
4.2.1.4 IP Assignment: Use fixed IP address to setup terminal IP address, subnet mask and
gateway. On right side show current setting parameter, click ENT key to record revised IP address,
click ENT key to modify successfully, and the device must re-startup system to validate.
4.2.1.5 Server IP: Setup terminal and server to connect with IP.
Server IP: Use fixed IP address to setup server IP, this server IP is that connect with device
manage terminal (server).
Report status: Setup the terminal report device status to server when after identification
successfully.
Net type: Select Confirm net type according to service procedure, and other two types is used
for certain customized function. On setting items interface show selecting items, click ENT key,
selecting items is become selectable condition, click direction key / to select Offline
compared with archives, According to device service program, First terminal is failed from
server.
4.2.1.6 Interface setup: Can setup interface showed contents, such as notice, brochure, calendar.
Click ENT key to become selectable condition, click direction key/to select whether this
function item is prohibited, and notice roll speed.

Notice: setup terminal main interface whether display notice contents, and display roll speed.
Brochure and music: Setup terminal whether display brochure, and display roll speed.
Waiting: Setup terminal display topic when under sleep time, only display background/big
clock/calendar. I select display big clock, you must startup brochure, it will display background
picture and clock calendar. If dont want to display notice, then show brochure and clock.
4.2.1.7 Ring time setup: Can setup four time periods, on setting items can show current setting
value, click ENT key to record ring time, click ENT key to confirm. When input setting value,
please according to items value range and format to show input value. (If prohibited to input
99:99), Symbol: click #/. to input. And user can record ring voice, the file name is bs.mp3.
4.2.1.8 System time setup: Setup system time and date, data format is YYYY-MM-DD, time
format is Hour-Minute-Second, click 1 / 2 key to enter corresponding parameter setting interface,
then spring a dialogue column to record parameter value, click ENT key to validate, symbol - is
recorded by #/. key.

4.2.2 Archives
Function: Query staff archives, read card directly to staff/collect fingerprint, setup attendance
password, management level, personal details information, and can stat archives,
administrator, force photos quantity.
Operation: Click direction key/to select staff, click 1-9 key to execute corresponding items
and spring a dialogue column, after record setting value, click ENT key to validate. If spring hint
column, you can click ENT key to execute according to hint information, ESC key to cancel
current operation, parameter value will be saved after return back to attendance interface.
4.2.2.1 Search NO: Search archives according to NO;
4.2.2.2 Add new: Add temporary staff NO.
4.2.2.3 On/Off: On/Off selected staff archives, if off, then this staff cant identify.
4.2.2.4 Set Admin/Clerk: Modify selected clerk management purview (administrator or user).
4.2.2.5 Force photo: Setup whether save staff force photo, if cancel photo, it will take staff photo
when check attendance, but dont save to terminal. If force to save, then not only take staff photo,
but also save photo to the terminal, and you also can check staff force photo on software.

4.2.2.6 Read card: Select staff to read card, put card on read card area, and create card number
(if delete card number, it must execute on manager computer, then transmit to terminal to
validate).
4.2.2.7 Password: Modify user identification password (if dont input contents, and click ok,
then cancel this identification password).
4.2.2.8 Enroll: Select staff to collect fingerprint archives (if delete fingerprint, it must execute on
manager computer, then transmit to terminal to validate).
4.2.2.9 Information: Query selected staff personal details information, such as recorded
fingerprint, card number, registered password and so on.

4.2.3 Query information
Function: Query attendance records, access setting, operation log, disc space information.
Operation: Click 1-4 key to execute corresponding operation items, by different query way,
record stat will show query results.
4.2.3.1 Records: query identification record, you can query by time and by NO, on list will
show identification records and identification record numbers.
4.2.3.2 Time rule: According to instance, query identification, stop entry, always-open,
always-closed.
4.2.3.3 Operation log: query terminal operation contents, and can delete a certain piece or
all operation log, log can be recovered after delete.
4.2.3.4 Disc space: query operated archives quantities, max disc space, remain space,
storage record.

4.2.4 Identification
Function: for attendance direction and manner, user can define personnel identification type
by self-custom.
Operation: click 1-2 key to enter identification direction, manner setting, and display
corresponding submenu operation item, and click corresponding numbers to setup according
to requirement.
Note: When setup parameter, the recorded parameter value should input according to setting

items value range and format specifications. If select setting contents, please click direction
key/to select, and return back to attendance interface to validate.

4.2.4.1 Mode : click 1 key to enter direction setting interface, setup direction, whether fixed
setting or use F1-F6 function key, and setup the time that press enlarge key. If startup enlarge
key, you must press key, then check attendance.
Direction: Select device identification direction, on right side, setup item to select interface,
click ENT key, the selected item is become usable, click direction key / to select:
No direction----If select this item, system will judge identification type when the staff
identify.
Default direction is enter/on duty---if select this item, device identification records are
got on duty type.
Default direction is leave/off duty--- if select this item, device identification records are
got off duty type.
Use [F1]-[F6] function key----select this item, you can click F1-F6 key to part from
identification type.
After select, please click ENT key to validate. If cancel, click ESC .
Click F1 validate time: On duty identification mode keep this value. Click key F1 (on duty),
identify status successfully. If exceed this time, then system default not to identify direction value.
Operation: click key 2 , enter setting interface, and show current parameter value, click ENT to
modify parameter value on the dialogue column, then click ENT to validate.
Click F2 validate time: off duty identification mode keep this value, click F2 (off duty), then
identify status successfully. If exceed this time, then system default not to identify direction value.
Operation: click 3 : enter setting interface, and show current parameter value, click ENT to
Click F3 validate time: return back to identification mode to keep this value, click F3 (back
temporary), identify status successfully. If exceed this time, then system default not to identify
direction value.
Operation: Click 4 , enter setting interface, and show current parameter value, click ENT to

temporary), identify status successfully. If exceed this time, then system default not to identify
direction value.
Operation: Click 5 to enter setting interface, and show current parameter value, click ENT to

successfully. If exceed this time, then system default not to identify direction value.
Click F6 validate time: Overtime end identification mode, click F6 (overtime end), identify status

Click key 2 to enter identification manner interface, setup after read No/after read card/after input
finger, or must use other identification manner. Refer to the following operation, click 1-3 to
select identification manner items.

to attendance machine from U disc corresponding folder.

4.2.5.2 Export records: Transmit terminal attendance records and operation log to manager
terminal by U disc, and attendance machine will delete log folder automatically, and must be
re-download archives.
4.2.5.3 Export photo: Use U disc to transmit terminal identification photographs for checking
attendance to the manager terminal for.
4.2.5.4 Import music: Use U disc to transmit user customized music to attendance machine,
startup imported music or select select music base as self-define, after re-startup system, music
will validate.
4.2.5.5 Import wes: Transmit user customized interface to attendance machine by U disc, startup
imported interface or need to select select interface as self define, after re-startup system, then
interface is validate.
4.2.5.6 Program upgrade: Upgrade attendance procedure, save upgrade filed to U disc, then use
U disc to transmit upgrade files to attendance to execute upgrade.
4.2.5.7 Backup

4.2.6 Advanced
Function: Setup some adjustable parameters on system, such as net parameter setup, video
setup, device setup.
Operation: Direct click 1-4 to setup corresponding parameter, click ENT to modify and
confirm operation, click ESC to cancel operation.
Note: When record parameter, please input according to setting items value range and format,
click / to select parameter.

4.2.6.1 Parameter config : Administrator modify net communication parameter, if non -
administrator, please dont setup at random, otherwise it will make network not to communication.
Link overtime: Setup time that connect server with terminal, and there is no overtime, setup 0 to
cancel this function. Click 1 to execute this parameter, click ENT to input parameter on the
dialogue column, click ENT to confirm; when record parameter, please
input according to setting items value range and format.

Link manner: Setup the security level of connecting server to terminal, click 2 to show selecting
items, click ENT , selected items is become to use, click / to select:
Non-validate: Can connect when non-validate.
Need to validate: Can connect after validate successfully.
Validate admin: Can connect after validate administrator identification.
Link password: setup password to connect server to terminal, click 3 to show parameter, click
ENT to input value on dialogue column, then click ENT to confirm.
Port number: Net port when connect with serverattendance interception port No, Click 4 to

Min value is 1000, Max value is 65535, we suggest 3350.
Time out: Setup the time to connect server to terminal, and there is no overtime, setup 0 to cancel
this function. Click 5 to show parameter, click ENT to input value on dialogue column, click ENT
to confirm.
Report status: Setup gap time when terminal automatic report device status to server, setup 0 to
cancel this function. Click 6 to show parameter, click ENT to input value on dialogue column,
click ENT to confirm.

4.2.6.2 : Photo Setting : all kinds of identification manner ratio, quality photo, format SD card,
camera environment, and re-startup system on appointed time.
Camera: Select to startup camera function, click ENT key to select item to use, select direction
key / to select disable or enable camera.
Card Ratio: Setup card ratio, click ENT key to select item to use, select direction key to reduce
value, click key to increase value.
Setup value as 0 (dont save after take photo)

Finger Eny: According to terminal position light rays, you can setup fingerprint brightness.

Default---If terminal isnt located on direct sun rays, you can select this item (inside).
Darker environment---If terminal is located at darker environment, you can select this item (inside

Finger photo---When press down fingerprint on the terminal, it is whether to show fingerprint

Show when collect--- select this item, it shows only when user collect fingerprint to press down
finger on scanner.
All show--- select this item, it also will show when terminal identify status or collect fingerprint.
Validate Admin: setup attendance admin sign in mode:
Super login: Select whether to startup super admin status to sign in, click ENT key, the selected
item is changed into selectable condition, click / key to select disable/enable super admin,
and also can setup admin sign in.
Enable---Can use super admin No to enter device manage interface.
DisableCan use self-defined admin NO + identification manner pass to enter device manage
interface.
Super NO: Setup sign in NO, the default NO is 0000. On setting item show setting value, click
ENT key to modify value on dialogue, click ENT key to confirm value.

4.2.7 Power management
Function: setup sleep type, wakeup time/sleep time, such as LCD, press any key to wake up
system.
Operation: Direct click 1-3 key to setup corresponding parameter, click ENT key to execute
operation, click ESC to cancel operation.

4.2.8 System Maintenance
Function: query system information, restart, default, del records, dele brochure and music and so
on.
Operation: Direct click 0-8 to setup corresponding parameter, click ENT/ESC to save/cancel.
4.2.8.1 System info: check system version, show system current equipment.
4.2.8.2 Restart: After modify system setting, or when system meet some problems, if cant find
U disc, cant fine video, all this instance can restart, click ENT to execute operation, click ESC to
cancel operation.
4.2.8.3 Default: Recover to default setting, system stated parameter will be replaced by default

setting, and will delete staff archives, log, photo, records, brochures, system will restart.
4.2.8.4 Delete records: Delete all identification records, and records cant be recovered after
delete.
4.2.8.5 Delete photo: Delete all photo, this operation may spend a little long time.
4.2.8.6 Delete brochure: Delete downloaded brochure, select waiting interface, and can show
background and big clock calendar.

Chapter 5 Questions & Answers
1. Q: System hint Disconnection db when run device service procedure?
Answer: Enter device service procedure interface, execute collocate db on Advance setup
menu. If use manufacture db, then input server name on manufacture db column (same as SQL
server name), click test db link button, and hint to link successfully.
If use prepared db, then select Third party db, click test db link button, and spring a
interface including three items: a. input server name; b. input SA password, then draw at the
front of saving password; c. select db (can select WEDSV4). Click test db link button, and back
to collocation db interface after confirmation. Input server name (self define), password and
confirmation password on Add server, then save these new settings to collocate db successfully.
2. Q: System hint Timeout when terminal collocate after leave factory?
Answer: Ping attendance IP address on local computer, and test whether network is at normal,
check whether terminal network setting is correct, then restartup attendance machine.
3. Q: When test network at normal, and can PING open attendance machine, but system
hint timeout when connect with attendance machine?
Answer: Method 1: There is same IP address in this net segment, so please change attendance IP
address.
Method 2: Enter device system manage, and define validate manner as Non-validate on
Communication setting.

Method 3: When device is at manage interface, please turn back device to main interface.
1. Q: After record staff, system hint Download archives successfully, but records is blank.
Answer: First reason: device service procedure isnt connected with db, so load in device service
procedure, and execute collocate db on advance setup menu (consult first
question).
Second reason: The staff didnt appoint identify device, so load in controller system account,
and execute appoint device on device setting menu, select corresponding
device group, then authorize to appointed staff.
2. Q: After download archives successfully, but there is no contents on device, and there is
no response to appoint device authorization, so we cant authorize.
Answer: If user device group, identification group, access rule are all blank, you must add relative
contents on corresponding function items, then appoint identification device and
download archives folder.
3. Q: Is there any requirement on staff photo format and size? Can import?
Answer: Photo format that system can identify are bmp, jpg, ico, wmf.
Photo can be imported in branches, and corresponding rules can use name, No, serial No,
please consult details on photo import of Normal setup.
4. Q: what does terminal operation log include?
Answer: Terminal operation log is included: read card, record fingerprint, define password, setup
admin.
8. Q: If disconnect with network, how to use movable disc or U disc to transmit data?
Answer: On device service procedure, please create connection manner Dummy connection, you
can consult details on U disc operation.
9. When user fingerprint is too weak, and change to use No + password, but we cant select
modify password setting on device, also cant do it when modify password to download
from background.
Answer: Restartup terminal, execute terminal default collocation when leave factory, then
download archives.

10. Mange interface and window hint will disappear automatically on terminal?
Answer: So as to more security, system dont allow other persons to operate on system
management interface, so you can setup manage interface timeout. Open Normal setup
on terminal system management, and setup timeout on manage operation timeout, and
setup as 0 second, this means there is no timeout.
11. Q: System hint Invalid card when punch card?
Answer: This didnt appoint identification device, so please appoint staff to corresponding device
group for authority, then click corresponding device to execute download archives on
Device service procedure, after download successfully, on terminal punch card
position will display staff information (Identify effectively).
12. Q: System hint Error when record super admin to terminal, so how to enter system
manage?
Answer: Reason: super admin (admin) No input wrong or has been modified.
Solution: Load on attendance account on controller, execute maintain staff on archives setup
menu, select admin personal information, then draw at the front of Allow this staff
to manage terminal, and input attendance password on attendance password column,
click save button, then download archives folder. Click Cancel button to input admin
No, then enter password identification after confirmation, then can enter system manage.
13. Q: When add advertising brochure on attendance machine, what format should I use?
Answer: JPG format.
14. Q: Why fingerprint identification ratio isnt sensitive than the beginning? For first time,
the same fingerprint can identify, why cant check out when press finger on scanner?
Answer: Fingerprint scanner area is too dirty, fingerprint cant be checked, the gesture that press
fingerprint isnt correct or fingerprint isnt clear, at this instance, everybody have to
record 10 numbers fingerprint, and select best one to check attendance. If staff 10
numbers fingerprint are not very clear, the staff can use No + password to check
attendance.
15. Q: If terminal work 24 hours a day, is there any function for Automatic turn off or
restartup?

Answer: Terminal can setup sleep time, wakeup time, on power management option, can execute
Sleep time, wakeup time.
16. Q: Why do some terminals cant transmit when during one by one operation?
Answer: Check all established terminal connection manner, and whether there has dummy
connection terminal.
