1. Shahada/Kalima


Ain bhejilen Rasoolallah
A sacred canon was called by the Messenger of Allah

Mukhey porore shodai La ilahi Illalah
recite, 'there is no God but Allah'.

Naamer o shohito roopo, dheyane rakhiya jopo
in its truest appearance, seek him in your deepest meditations

Benishanai Jodi dako chinbi ki roop ke allah
if you seek aimlessly, how would you know His appearance and who is Allah?


La ilahi nofi shey hoy illallah shei din doyamoy
La ilaha is your base negation, Illal lah the forever benevolent


nofi asbat iharey koi, yehi to Ibadatullah
This meditation is to negate affirmation; this is Allah in our prayers

La sharik janiya take poro kalam diley mukhey
That he has no second, recite with your heart and soul


Mukti pabi thakbi shukhe dekhbi re noor Tajullah
free yourself and live happily and you will see the light, the crown of Allah.


Boleychen Shai Allah noori ei Zikr er dorja bhari
Said the Sai, contemplation on the Divine Light is the highest level of incantation


Shiraj shai tai koy pukari shonre Lalon belilillah
Siraj Sai beseeches. O Lalon mend your ways, be with Allah.

2. Eternal Wealth

Andhabaji dhandai pore andajite korli dhadhon
Entrapped and blinded in scams, you contemplate on guesses
,
Kon shadhonai pabi porom dhon
what austere practice will bring you eternal wealth


Bhog diya bhogwan paile Allah paite shirnite
in feeding you hope to find Bhagwan, and Allah in sacred rice pudding


Makkai giya paile khoda firto na mon khali hatey
in Makkah you go looking for Allah, and return empty handed

Gaya-Kashi-Vrindabone paile hori ashto na re
From Gaya-Kashi-Vrindavan will you return if you find Hari

Christan girja ghore paile isshor bhulto na re
in churches if Christians find God, would they ever forget him?

in cash you expect returns so a Puja you arranged

cash being out of question, your life is ridden in debts

3. Miraj

Nobi Miraj hotey elen ghure, bolen na bhed karo tore
The Prophet returned from Mi'raj, and said not a word to anyone upon his return

Shune Ali kohihiche tokhon dekhe elen Allah kemon
On hearing the news came Ali and asked - "how did Allah look like?

- ''
Nobi koy thik tomar moton koro amol ami bolo jare
the Prophet answered - 'just like you, contemplate on your 'You' and you will know"

Eshey Abu Bakr bole Allah kemon dekhe ele
then came Abu Bakr and asked - "what did you make of Allah when you saw him....

Roopti kemon deben boley nobi bolen tumi dekho tomarey
....and how would you describe his looks?" - the Prophet answered ... '"Look at yourself."

Tarpor kohichey Omaa, kemon Allah akar prokar
then it was Umar's query - "what is the size and shape of Allah?"

Nobi koy thik tomar akar Ainal haq tai Koran fukare
the Prophet answered -"as in the ultimate truth in - YOU as in the Quran"

Pore jiggashilo Osman Goni Allah kemon bolo shuni
and then came Usman Ghani - "how is Allah please tell me?"

Nobi koy jemon tumi temon thik parwarey
the Prophet answered -"like you - so is your Creator"


Nobi mirajey giye je bhed tini elen niye
from Mi'raj in contemplation the Prophet returned


Nobiji ja bujhailo charjona charmot
the Prophet explained Allah in four opinions

- and Lalon received only a circular celestial 'zero'

4. Freedom for Mankind


Jogot mukti te bholalen Shai
The wise one spoke about freedom for mankind


Bhokti dau jatey choron pai
Said with submission let me touch his feet


Ranga choron dekhbo boley
With hopes that we will see thy blessed feet

That being the earnest desire of our Soul


Tomar naamer mithai mon mojeychey
The sweetness of thy name has my Soul in raptures

Do not deny me my surrender


Mukti pod diccho shobarey
This missive of freedom you sent for everybody

5. Ancient Makkah - The Human Temple

Adi Makkah ei manob dehey, dekhnare mon dheye
The ancient Makkah is within the human body, look for it O' brother in devotion

Desh deshantor doure keno morchore hafiye
why run in between countries and die in vain, in exhaustion.

kore oti ajob bhakka gotheychen shai manush makkah, kudroti nor diye
with a strange format the Lord created the Human Temple, with a spark of divine light

o tar char darey char noori imam, modhye shai boshiye
oh, on four corners are four illumined leaders, at the center is placed the wise one himself

til poriman jaigar upor gotheychen shai ajob shohor, manush mokkai
On a space equal to a pulse of grain, the Lord has built this strange city/the Human Temple

Achey sheen dorojai ekjon dari nidratyagi hoye
In the penultimate doorway stands a respondent in sleep deprivation

The Human Temple is a blessed piece of work, it sounds words from the unknown realms

Shat tola bhediye, lakh lakh haji korteche haj, shei makkai boshiye
stretching the seventh stories, hundreds upon thousand pilgrims perform Hajj with Makkah at its center

Dosh duwari manush makka, guru (Murshid) podey dube dekhga, dhakka shamliye
The ten doors within the Human Temple/ learn within deep knowledge imparted by your Guru/ learn
handling hazards

6. Aleef Laam Meem


Aleef laam meem te Koran taman shodh likheyche
In Aleef, Laam, Meem the Quran is written with all credits


Aleef e Allah-ji, Meem mane Nabi, Laamer dui maney
In Aleef it is Allah, In Meem the Prophet and Laam has two meanings

Ek maney hoy shorai (sharia) prochar arek mane maarefatey
One is the doctrines of Sharia, the other is Maarifa


Tar darmiyan Laam ache daane baame aleef meem duijone
In between Laam in our right, Aleef on the left and Aleef- Meem conjoined


Jemon gachey beej onkur eimoto ghur na pari bujhite
like trees, seeds, and buds are on a spin we cannot comprehend


Isharar bochon Koranei mane hishab koro ei dehete
like the grammar of signs (indications) sum up the Quran in your body

7. Of Sins and Salvation


Ei deshey jaa paap gonyo, onyo deshey punyo tai
What may be Sin in one nation, could be salvation in yet another


paap punyer kotha ami/ kare ba shudhai
Pray who shall I ask about Sins and Salvation.

Tibbot niyom onusharey ek nari bohu poti dhorey
In the ways of Tibet a woman may have many husbands

yet if that happens in our nation the punishment for adultery applies.

Shukor, goru duti poshu/ khaite boleycchey Jishu
Pork and Beef are two creatures/ that Jesus asked us to eat

Desh shomoshyar onshare bhinno bidhan hoitey pare
Every nation seeks solutions to its own problems, in its own practiced norms


shukkho gyaner bichar korle/ paap punyer nai balai
viewed with the intensity of intellect, there is no such things as Sin or Salvation


Paap hoiele bhobey ashi punyo hoiley shorgo bashi
In Sinning we come to earth in Salvation we find Heaven


Lalon boley shei naam urboshi nityo nityo promaan pai
Lalon says such common examples I discover on a day to day basis
