4.1.6 ADC
The IC6101 AD9883A is a complete 8-bit, 140 MSPS monolithic analog interface optimized for capturing RGB
graphics signals From personal computers and workstations. Its 140 MSPS encode rate capability and full power
analog bandwidth of 300 MHz supports resolutions up to SXGA (1280 × 1024 at 75 Hz). The AD9883A includes
a 140 MHz triple ADC with internal 1.25 V reference, a PLL, and programmable gain, offset, and clamp control.
The user provides only a 3.3 V power supply, analog input, and Hsync and COAST signals. Three-state CMOS
outputs may be powered from 2.5 V to 3.3 V. The AD9883A’s on-chip PLL generates a pixel clock from the
Hsync input. Pixel clock output frequencies range from 12 MHz to When the COAST signal is presented, the PLL
maintains its output frequency in the absence of Hsync. A sampling phase adjustment is provided. Data, Hsync,
and clock output phase relationships are maintained. The AD9883A also offers full sync processing for composite
sync and sync-on-green applications. A clamp signal is generated internally or may be provided by the user
through the CLAMP input pin. This interface is fully programmable via a 2-wire serial interface.
4.1.7 TMDS
The IC6104 SiI 169 Receiver uses PanelLink Digital technology to support HDTV and high-resolution digital
displays for DTV and PC applications. It features High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) for secure
delivery of high-definition video in consumer electronics products. The SiI 169 comes with integrated,
pre-programmed HDCP keys, greatly simplifying manufacturing and providing the highest level of security. For
improved ease of use, the SiI 169 has enhanced jitter tolerance and a low-power standby mode.
· Integrated 25-165MHz PanelLink core to support VGA to UXGA resolutions
· Supports HDTV resolutions (720p/1080i)
· Integrated HDCP decryption engine for viewing protected content
· Pre-programmed HDCP keys provide highest level of key security, simplify manufacturing
· Enhanced jitter tolerance
· Time staggered data output for reduced ground bounce
· High Skew Tolerance: 1 full input clock cycle (6ns at 165MHz)
· Backwards compatible with SiI 161B
· Sync Detect for “Hot Plugging”
· Flexible low power modes with automatic power down when input clock is inactive
· Low power 3.3V core operation
· Compliant with DVI 1.0.
4.1.8 De-Interlace
The IC7204 Matisse-1A (MS1A) by Oplus is a high-quality, digital video de-interlacer chip designed for flat panel
displays, projection systems, progressive scan TVs and advanced video processing devices. Matisse-1A is the ideal
solution for all digital display applications, combining superb image quality, flexibility and cost effectiveness with
a suite of advanced features.
The chip incorporates two video input ports for maximum system design flexibility and a fully featured
color-processing unit. The Matisse-1A's output port can be connected with glueless logic to the Oplus
Rembrandt-1A and Rembrandt-102 display processor chips, creating the ultimate digital image processing system.
The chip is also fully compatible with all common scaler chips. The Matisse-1A supports standard interlaced
NTSC/PAL/SECAM video processing fed by video decoder, analog to digital converter or other digital source.
Some functional blocks have a bypass option to increase flexibility of connection to different sources.
