Designing, creating and custom manufacturing unique, unsinkable amphibious and non-amphibious
vehicles is CAMIs specialty. The gratification is taking the product from an idea to production,
completion, and then introduction it into commercial or recreational markets.
I n 13 years CAMI has produced 7 different models and has 70 vehicles operating in 16 countries.

The modular design that CAMI utilizes allows the installation of various engines, equipment and
components that meet emissions and government regulations in countries worldwide. The ability
to install numerous different brands of engines and components provides the end customer the ability
to obtain localized maintenance and service. The Hydra-Terra meets all global emission standards.
The Hydra-Terras provide land and water tours and transportation for various locations around the world.
The depth of the water, or the time out on either side, land nor water, matters to the Hydra-Terra. As long
as fuel and care are provided, the Hydra-Terra was designed to run for years and years. Additional usages
of CAMIs vehicles manufactured through the years are: Search and Rescue, Firefighting, Ambulatory,
Cargo Supply, Transportation, Taxi, Recreation, Speed, and Fuel Conservation.

Standard Equipment includes:
a heavy duty automatic transmission,
heavy duty alternator, dual batteries,
and dual rear wheels.100% power
can be applied to both land and
water drive simultaneously for
beaching the vehicle. Exhaust
is piped to the rear of the vehicle
through a 4 inch pipe. The exhaust
discharges above the top of the
Hydra-Terra via a chrome stack.
Soundproofing is installed in
the entire floor area and includes
a sound barrier which greatly
reduces engine noise. Full live
suspension system is mounted
directly to the hull at reinforced
mounting points. Weight capacity
of suspension is 26,000 pounds.
Heavy duty brakes with anti lock
computer brake control system
are also standard equipment.
A ZF Marine Transmission drives
a huge 26 bronze propeller on a
2 stainless steel shaft.
Steering is provided using an electric
linear actuator to move the rudder port
and starboard, no cables. A rudder angle
indicator is located on the dash.
2 or 3 engines optional.
The Hydra-Terra has a fully covered
Aluminum top. Optional smoked glaze
tinting is available with see through
polycarbonate sheet, Full overhead
viewing is possible through the roof
panels. The sides are an open
free air design. Plastic roll down side
curtains, or glass windows, can be added
as an option. Low maintenance vinyl
seats provide comfortable & spacious
seating for 49 passengers; 2 people per
side; 4 per row; with 12 rows of seats;
1 additional seat on the back row.
There are 2 seats up front for the crew
members: a captains/drivers seat; and a
rearward facing jump seat for the first
mate. Seat upgrades are available.
The Hydra-Terra is carpeted for
passenger comfort and noise abatement.
There is an optional built in public
address system with multiple
speakers installed into the seating
system for narrated tours.
A restroom on board is also an option.
For the captain/driver there is a state
of the art cockpit. The Hydra-Terras
dash instrument panel, windshield,
wipers, heater/vent, steering wheel
and power steering system are all built
into a padded dash assembly. It also
contains a drivers air bag for safety.
Specifications
The Hydra-Terra is a United States Coast
Guard fully inspected vessel for domestic
vessels. It passes all of the following
USCG inspections and/or tests: Structural
Hull Analysis, Hull Welding Examination
(including die penetrate testing),
Electrical Systems Approval, Sea
Trial, Complete Stability Test,
And Certificate of Inspection.
The Hydra-Terra is unsinkable!
The pictures above and below
show the vessel with the drain plugs
removed; the hull and engine room
are flooded. The barrels are full
of water, equaling the weight as if
fully loaded. The positive buoyancy
assures the safety of the passengers.
