1 Thessalonians 5:17

Pray Without Ceasing. Prayer is a means by which we talk to God. This scripture tells us to pray without
ceasing. How is this humanly possible? Why would God tell us to do something, which he knew was
impossible? We must sleep for one thing. How can we pray if were sleeping? We must go to work and function
on our job everyday, how can God tell us to Pray without stopping?

Well the answer is easy, since God would not waste his time telling us to do something, which is impossible, it
must therefore be possible! The meaning of the Greek word for "without ceasing" is without a break, non-stop
or never ending. Here is the definition for the Greek word "without ceasing":

Without Ceasing = Without Intermission - # 89 adialeiptos {ad-ee-al-ipe'-toce} - *from 88; - AV - without
ceasing 4; 4: 1) without intermission, incessantly, without ceasing: #88 adialeiptos {ad-ee-al'-ipe-tos} -
AV - continual 1, without ceasing 1; 2
1) unintermitted, unceasing, continual

Luke 18:1 And he (Jesus) spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought Always to Pray, and not to
faint;

Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and Pray Always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things
that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Ephesians 6:18 Praying Always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.

Psalm 34:1 I will Bless the LORD At All Times: his praise shall Continually be in my mouth.

Now then lets throw in a couple of other scriptures, which also seem impossible. In these scriptures, God tells
us to Meditate both Day and Night!

Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he Meditate Day and Night.

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt Meditate therein Day and
Night,

Between "praying without ceasing" and "meditating both day and night," how do we go about the routine of
daily human life? Even if we dropped everything and tried our best to pray 24 hours a day, we eventually would
fall asleep from sheer exhaustion.

God is well aware that we all must provide shelter, clothing and food for our families and ourselves.
Accomplishing this takes time and it also takes our mental attention. But what most Christians are not aware of
is the amazing abilities of our God-given mind. There is a duality within the Human Mind, and we have a:

CONSCIOUS MIND AND ALSO A SUBCONSCIOUS MIND

Did you ever get a song stuck in your mind? Have you, like me, found yourself singing some silly song over
and over to yourself? Perhaps you heard an advertising jingle or some catchy tune on the radio, and later you
find yourself repeating that song over and over in the back of your mind.

At first, you keep singing that song to yourself during the day, at work or at home. Then you may get busy with
a telephone call or something and forget about it, but then in a little while there it is again! That same song
pops up and you find yourself still singing that same catchy little tune. Sometimes it can even be annoying!

In fact Ive had some songs, which would stick in my mind for days, and even weeks. Sure, I would forget
about it for a while, maybe even a day or so but then it would surface again.

Heres the key to understanding this function of the mind. The subconscious mind was repeating that song All
the time, even when the conscious mind forgot about it for awhile. In other words, the subconscious mind has
a function, which "repeats" songs or phrases, continually! I have coined a word to describe this ability of the
subconscious mind. I call it your "repeater," for lack of a more technical word. For example, if you go to bed
singing a song, and wake up only to find you are still singing that same song, its because your subconscious
mind was repeating it all night long.

God has provided you with a tool called the subconscious mind. That tool has the ability to repeat Psalms,
Prayers and Meditations without ceasing! Yes you can meditate day and night! Yes you can pray always!

People know the most about their conscious mind and very little, if anything, about their subconscious mind.
For instance, did you know that your subconscious mind has never been asleep! It is always awake, even
while your conscious mind is sleeping. You also dream with your subconscious mind, and we know that God
often speaks to us in our dreams.

Meditation and Prayer both originate in Gods word. They are godly practices, which all Christians should
employ. In fact God specifically told Joshua to meditate day and night just prior to his crossing into the
Promised Land.

Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt Meditate therein Day and
Night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for THEN thou shalt make thy
way prosperous, and THEN thou shalt have good success.

The word Meditate means to turn or revolve in the Mind! God has given us the ability to keep our minds stayed
upon him.

Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose Mind is Stayed on Thee: because he trusteth in thee.
(KJV)

God said IF Joshua meditated day and night THEN he would prosper and have good success! We want to
inherit the Promised Land today, which is a glorified body. The Manifested Sons of God will receive the glory of
the Father and receive the redemption of their physical body.

Romans 8:17-19, 23 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer
with him, that we may be also Glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are
not worthy to be compared with the Glory Which Shall Be Revealed In Us. 19 For the earnest expectation of
the creature waiteth for the Manifestation of the Sons of God23 And not only they, but ourselves also,
which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to
wit, the Redemption of our Body. (KJV)

Here is the scripture, which says that those who Meditate Day and Night will prosper, and not only that but their
"leaf" will not whither! If your leaf does not wither, then you will not Die!

Psalm 1:2-3 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he Meditate Day and Night. 3And
he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also
shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (KJV)

God has given us the ability and the tools to accomplish the seemingly impossible feat of "Praying without
ceasing" and also to "Meditate both day and night!"

This is not a tricky play on words, but rather a real function or ability of the mind.

Let me say that there is really just one mind. The mind has many different functions but is generally understood
in terms of the Conscious Mind and the Subconscious Mind.

The Conscious Mind is the one you wake up to every morning. This is the Mind that you use in your work,
school and everyday life. But while your Conscious Mind is busy with the cares of the day, the Subconscious
Mind has also been also very busy. The Subconscious Mind has kept your internal, bodily functions of life all
working in sync.

Your heartbeat as well as your breathing functions have all been kept working properly by the Subconscious
Mind. You do not have to make a Conscious effort to keep your Heart beating. It beats subconsciously, 24
hours a day. You keep breathing even when your Conscious Mind is sleeping.

While there is really only one Mind, I will refer to them in general terms as the Conscious Mind and the
Subconscious Mind. Both operate simultaneously, yet they function independent of each other. That is to say
that while your Conscious Mind is working on a crossword puzzle, your Subconscious Mind is busy working on
your biorhythms. Along the same lines, when youre busy at work (with your conscious mind), your
subconscious mind can still be repeating prayers or meditations all day long (and all night too)!

Even an Iron worker who needs to use 100% concentration of his conscious mind (as he walks narrow steel
beams 20 stories up) even he can be meditating or repeating spiritual songs with his subconscious mind.
Both minds work independent of each other.

One mind needs sleep, but the other doesnt. When you go to sleep at night, it is only your Conscious mind
which sleeps. In fact your Subconscious Mind has never been asleep! It is tireless and alert at all times.

God does not require sleep either! We never worry that God is sleeping when we pray! I prefer to call the
Subconscious mind, the Godconscious mind. God deals directly with our subconscious minds when he speaks
to us. I go into more detail on the subconscious mind in my books, "Meditation," "Revolution" and "God-
conscious."

Organizing all of the internal Life functions of your body are but one of the many amazing abilities of the
Subconscious Mind. Keeping your circulatory and central nervous systems functioning is a snap for this
powerful mind. If you cut your finger you need not Consciously worry about it. Simply wash it off, put a Band-
Aid on it, and forget about it.

Why can you forget about it? Because your subconscious mind will begin the process of repair by healing the
damage. Your subconscious mind will send the necessary cells to repair the injury. All the repairs are done
without any conscious thought on your part. In a matter of days the cut is healed and the skin is as good as
new. Healing a cut is a simple thing for the subconscious mind, which God created.

God is our healer and the one who brings healing. No doctor in the world has ever healed anyone. Yes, they
can assist in the healing process but a Doctor or Surgeon will never heal you. Jesus demonstrated the ability to
heal many times he has the Mind of Christ.

God made the Subconscious Mind and placed it within each one of us. God gave Jesus the same Mind that he
gave you. Jesus had/has full use of his Mind, both the Conscious and the Subconscious.

Jesus used his God-given mind to the fullest. There is no question that Jesus used his Subconscious Mind as
the Father intended. The Biblical phrase, "The Mind of Christ," must also include the powerful Subconscious
Mind, which Jesus fully used.

Luke 6:7-8 And the scribes and Pharisees watched him, whether he would heal on the sabbath day; that they
might find an accusation against him. 8 But he (Jesus) Knew Their Thoughts, and said to the man which had
the withered hand, Rise up, and stand forth in the midst(KJV)

How did Jesus heal and how did he read their thoughts? Jesus had a powerful God-given tool called the Mind
of Christ. It was a simple thing for Jesus to read the thoughts of others. We all know that God is able to read
our thoughts and Jesus also was a mind reader.

At times we all have experienced this in some degree. There have been times when I just knew what someone
was going to say. Have you ever said the same thing at the same time as someone else? Have you ever
known what someone was going to say, even before they said it?

Science recognizes this transference of thought, and they call it, "mental telepathy." This is just another
function of the subconscious. The US Government and the US Military spends millions of dollars of taxpayer
money, researching and developing this mental ability.

It is a fact that we only use about 10% of our minds. That means that the other 90% is still Virgin territory to us.
There is a virgin part of your Soul/Mind that has great power and ability. Jesus used all of the Mind of Christ
100%. The Manifested Sons of God will do the same. They will be led by the Spirit, use the Mind of Christ and
dwell in a Glorified Body.

I was driving home one summer afternoon when the car and truck in front of me hit in a head-on collision. I
immediately pulled over to the side of the street and got out to help.

There was an older gentleman who was trapped and crying out for help so I ran and assisted him. After I freed
him from his car then turned to help the other man whose truck had flipped onto its side.

The other man was dangling from his seat belt and could not get free from it. There was the pungent smell of
gasoline as I pulled him out through the broken rear windshield. As I was helping the accident victims I also
told gathering spectators to go call 911 and get help. I waited until the paramedics arrived and then proceeded
home.

The accident took place about 2 miles from my house but when I got home my wife Debbie was about in tears.
She thought that I had been involved in an automobile accident! She was so upset, that she was calling the
hospital to see if I was there. She was actually dialing the hospital just as I walked in. My wife has never
reacted that way before. She picked up on my thoughts!

I was the first one on the scene of the accident. As I was helping the victims I was also giving loud instructions
to those arriving. I was saying, "Call an Ambulance! Tell them theres been an Accident!" I must have told 4 or
5 people who all took off to call for help. At this exact time, my poor wife at home was mentally picking up my
thoughts, "Call an Ambulance! Theres been an Accident!!" but she feared that I was the one who was hurt.
She was so relieved to see me when I got home, as you can imagine.

How did that happen? How did my wife receive those thoughts I was sending out? It was through the powerful
subconscious mind, or really the God-conscious mind. How does a mother know when her child is in danger
even though they may be miles apart? The Subconscious Mind has many powerful abilities and can transmit
thoughts instantly across thousands of miles.

There are Eastern and New Age religions, which are aware of the powers of the mind. They mistakenly
worship the mind instead of the one who created it. Eastern religions worship the mind and modern day New
Agers think of God as a Great Mind.

I believe that the Bible teaches us to worship the Most High God. God is a Spirit and we must worship him in
Spirit and Truth. The Manifested Sons of God will be led by the Spirit and receive the salvation of their
Soul/Mind. The Overcomers will actually put on the complete Mind of Christ and have total access to all its
power.

Eastern religions are well aware of the power of the subconscious mind. They are experts at meditation (but
not Biblical meditation) and have been practicing it for many thousands of years. Meditation is originally a
Biblical concept, not an eastern one. Meditation is Gods idea and method for man.

Eastern Religions and New Agers will tell you to get a Guru or a Teacher. This Guru or teacher will give you a
Mantra, which you are to "Repeat." A Mantra is a meaningless word or phrase like "OHM." They use a
meaningless word so the conscious mind will not understand it.

The object is to access the subconscious by not using the conscious. The reason they use meaningless words
is so the conscious mind cannot understand it, and is forced to shift into neutral. If the word was say, "Rabbit,"
then the conscious mind would be active as it visualized a rabbit.

The Guru will then instruct you to stare at a flower or a candle, and repeat your mantra over and over until you
are in the subconscious state of mind, similar to a daydreaming state of mind. In fact when you daydream, you
are using your subconscious mind, and your conscious mind is in neutral. The key to meditating is to reach the
subconscious mind.

Christians have the Holy Spirit as their Teacher and they do not need a Guru. The Holy Spirit gives us the gift
of Tongues, which the conscious mind does not understand. Christians are to keep focused upon Jesus who
is the Rose of Sharon. We are instructed to Meditate on Gods Word that is our light or candle.

COUNTERFEIT EASTERN/NEW AGE MEDITATION

Get a Guru or Teacher
Repeat a Mantra (meaningless words)
Stare at a Flower
Stare at a Candle

TRUE BIBLICAL MEDITATION

Holy Spirit is our Teacher
Praying in Tongues (meaningless to the conscious mind)
Look to Jesus the Rose of Sharon, Lilly of the Valley
The Word is the Candle or Lamp unto our Feet
The Holy Spirit is our teacher and he brings us a spiritual language. The conscious mind does not understand
tongues, and it is forced to switch into neutral. God speaks to us directly in our subconscious minds. When we
look to Jesus while we are praying is the Holy Spirit, we can place Gods Word/Seed in the very Loins of our
subconscious minds. Visions and Dreams are part of the sub/God-conscious mind.

As Christians we do not worship the mind but rather use it for Gods purposes. We are told to put on the
Mind of Christ. That is a very powerful Mind, which can heal any sickness and even move mountains. Some
Christians will do the works Jesus did and greater!

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and
greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (KJV)

There are some in the business world who do not worship the mind but rather use it to gain wealth or power.
You can use your mind for good or evil. The mind is very powerful and the real power lies within the
Subconscious.

The Sons of God are only interested in understanding the Mind of Christ. Our goal is to enter the Promised
Land. There will be a group of Christians who will put on the Mind of Christ. They will do the works Jesus did
and even Greater Works. These will have 100% use of their Mind and all of its power. The Manifested Sons
will "know their thoughts" like Jesus did, and be able to heal. This group will not use the Mind of Christ for
selfish gains of any kind.

When we realize that the Subconscious Mind never sleeps then it is easy to see how we can pray without
ceasing. The Conscious Mind must tend to the other daily cares of life but the Subconscious is always ready

for action. That song, which becomes "stuck" in our mind, is actually revolving in our subconscious mind. There
really is a function of the subconscious, which repeats phrases or songs 24 hours a day.

In fact there is something repeating in your subconscious right now. TV and radio advertisers are quite aware
of the "repeater." They use this and know exactly how the subconscious mind works. All advertising is based
upon repetition or repeating the same commercial, over and over. Eventually the advertiser knows that their
little "catch phrase" or song will get right into your subconscious mind. Then you will begin to repeat their ad
over and over in your mind, which eventually causes you to buy their product. Subliminal advertising is
outlawed. Why? Because it works too well! Also, because the subconscious mind has the ability to pick up
things which the conscious mind just cant see or hear. Subliminal advertising bypasses the conscious mind
and goes directly to the subconscious.

Meditation is simply filling your repeater with the Word of God. By singing spiritual psalms over and over, they
too get implanted in your subconscious mind. The Sons of God will meditate and pray as effectively as Jesus.
You can continually have those psalms/prayers revolving or repeating in your mind day & night. Even if your
conscious mind forgets about it, they will continue to repeat until something else gets in there and replaces it.

What do you fill your "repeater" with every day? Some give their minds a daily dose of TV, and that is what
goes around in their mind day & night. Some listen to certain types of music, which also fills their repeaters.
What ever you input into the subconscious will eventually manifest in the body.

If you take a mind and fill it with medical school knowledge, the result will eventually be a Doctor.
If you fill a mind with the things learned at law school, you will get a Lawyer.
If you fill the mind with absolutely nothing, the result will be a Politician(just kidding).
If you fill the mind with the seed/word of God, the result will be a Manifested Son of God(no kidding).

Pre-meditated murder is a phrase we are all familiar with. When thoughts of hatred keep repeating in the mind,
the result can be deadly. But Pre-meditated Life will result in those who fill their repeater with the
Words/Seeds of God! Thoughts of Gods Love will create Life in the body.

Proverbs 18:21 Death and Life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit
thereof. (KJV)

The best time to access your subconscious is just before you go to sleep at night. If you are meditating on
Gods word as you fall asleep, then your subconscious mind will continue to repeat it all night long, without
ceasing.

Psalm 63:6 When I remember thee upon my bed, and Meditate on thee in the Night watches. (KJV)

Another good time to fill your repeater is when you first wake up in the morning. Before you get out of bed, you
can sing a psalm or say a prayer. Your conscious mind is still waking up and your subconscious is easily
accessible. Then forget about it with your conscious mind because you will be meditating subconsciously. You
can work all day with your conscious mind while you are meditating with your subconscious.

Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that Seek Me Early shall find me. (KJV)

This is a real function of the subconscious mind and it really works. If you need healing, then fill your repeater
with scriptures and psalms of healing. Keep those scriptures revolving day and night in your subconscious
mind. If you have a lot of fear, then replace those thoughts with Gods word. You can change your thought
patterns and actually put on the very Mind of Christ.

James 5:16 The effectual fervent Prayer of a righteous man availeth much. (KJV)

Be aware of what is revolving in your mind. Every time you find any unwanted thoughts repeating in your
mind, immediately replace them with Gods Word. Realize that all thoughts will produce either life or death.
We can control our thoughts. The Manifested Sons will choose life and place Gods word in their minds until
they fully have the Mind of Christso can you.
