Our history dates back to year 1924, when we were rst
founded as Elkasan, trading chemicals from reputable global
sources. The company, under the name of Organik Kimya was
founded in 1965, with the main focus on polymer emulsions
and specialty chemicals. Our rst investment as Organik
Kimya was a 6.000 tons capacity plant. Over the years, with
our ambition to grow, our production capacity has undergone
5 expansions in the last 28 years, increasing over 30-fold,
reaching 200.000 tpa by 2007:
COMPANY PROFILE
In addition to our Istanbul Plant, our plant in Rotterdam, with
a capacity of 80.000 tpa came onstream in 2007, enabling
us to supply the western hemisphere from two key locations.
Istanbul, being a very important location of economics and
logistics is the base of operations. Rotterdam Plant, resides
in the huge Botlek chemical complex on Rotterdam Harbor,
right next to the largest bulk materials terminal in Rotterdam.
Both plants are identical in the way they operate, enabling
the production processes and quality assurance to be run
and optimized simultaneously. The production is controlled
by state-of-the-art DCS control systems. Fully automated
operation ensures standard quality with every batch,
regardless of the reactor or the location of the plant.

In 2004 we made the full shift to APEO-free products. Our
environmental accountability has seen our participation in
national and international movements such as Responsible
Care, ensuring that only environmentally compliant products
are manufactured and the most stringent environmental
safeguards are maintained during production.

Decorative Paints
A broad range of all acrylics, styrene acrylics and
vinyl acrylics is available including but not limited to
interior/exterior wall paints, gloss paints, coatings,
primers, plasters and wet rooms. All new product
developments are in-line with VOC regulations,
phasing out formaldehyde, ammonia and other
restricted substances.
Elastomerics
Surface cured all acrylic binders for horizontal and
vertical applications with good crack-bridging
properties. Covering a good Tg range and ofering
good dirt pick-up proles for elastomerics with wide
formulation latitude. Also includes systems that
adhere on bitumen membranes and rigid PU foams.
Wood Coatings
Ranging from DIY to industrial applications,
with versatile formulation capabilities that bring
performance and durability for demanding wood
products. Wet adhesion promoted binders, self
crosslinking systems and stain blocking systems are
among the capabilities of the ofered product range.
Low Emission
Specially designed binders in various chemistries
that are suitable for even more stringent emission
regulations and solvent-free formulations.
Construction
All acrylics, styrene acrylics developed for roof
coatings, concrete/cement modiers, sealants,
caulks, EIFS applications and construction adhesives.
Specialty Coatings and Polishes
High performance all acrylics and styrene acrylics
with self crosslinking are available for a range
of wood and metal coatings, including chemical
resistant wood coatings and parquet lacquers. Zinc
crosslinked polish systems with high performance
auxiliaries are also ofered for oor polishes.
Auxiliaries
General purpose and specic dispersing aides, ASE
and HASE thickeners are available for a broad range
of applications.
In recent years, more than 50% of our business is for Paints, Coatings and Construction markets.
Our continuous growth also comes with new products, improved alternatives to market benchmarks,
innovations with regard to environmental regulations and most importantly, to our customers'
performance expectations.
