Below are the rules and guidelines for the Quiz. Team Rules The following are the general rules and regulations for Quiz Show. Members: The maximum number of participants in a team is 6 and the minimum is 4 Substitutions: At the request of the Team Captain and at the discretion of Peoples team, an original team member may be substituted by an alternate in advance of the first round of the Quiz. The Big Day Is Finally Here! What To Expect: Conduct: Foul or abusive language by any team member will not be tolerated before, during, or after a game. Use of such language could result in the expulsion of that team or player for the remainder of the competition. Misconduct: If an audience member interjects or "signals" any response to a question, including but not limited to any hand signals, mouthing, or whispering of answers, game play might cease and Peoples team will determine the penalty.
Let the Games Begin! How to Play the Game: The following describes rules concerning the quiz's game play. Tournament Structure: There will be 3 rounds in the Quiz 1. Do or Die Round This will be an elimination round and the best 4 teams (depending on the top scorers) will qualify for the second round a. Number of Questions 6 b. Time limit for each question 30 seconds c. Questions can be from any subject d. There will be 2 questions on Guess Who for each team and 3 clues will be provided to each team: i. If the team answers the question after 1 st clue, 10 points will be awarded. ii. After 2 nd clue, 5 points will be awarded. iii. After 3 rd clue, 2 points will be awarded.
2. Subject Choice Round The questions are categorized into different subjects, and the leading team in the previous round gets the first choice among the subjects. This again will be an elimination round and the best 2 teams will qualify for the Finals a. Number of Questions 8 b. Time limit for each question 30 seconds c. Questions can be from any of the following subjects: i. Science ii. Politics iii. Bancbox iv. Sports v. Entertainment vi. General Awareness
3. Rapid Fire Round This will be the last round of the quiz competition. Team with better score will be adjudged as the winner. a. Number of Questions 10 b. Time limit for each question 6 seconds c. Questions can be from any subject d. Each team has to select 1 representative to answer these questions. e. Any question which has been passed will be repeated at the end provided there is time left for the team to answer
4. For every correct answer, 10 points will be awarded to the team. Winner will not be decided based on cumulative scores for all the rounds. Team scoring better in the final round will be declared as Winner.
5. In case, a team is not able to answer a question, the question will be open to all the other teams (except Guess Who questions and rapid fire round) but based on a buzzer system. Team shouting their team name first will be given a chance to answer the question. Only 1 chance will be provided. If the team answers it wrongly, it will be open to audience or answered by the quiz conducting team.
6. For every correct answer to a passed on question, 5 points will be awarded.
7. In event of tie up in any of the first 2 rounds, extra questions will be asked to set of teams with equal score. Based on the outcome, teams will qualify to the next round.
