About IETE
IETE, The institution of Electronics and Telecommunication
Engineers (IETE) is Indias leading recognized professional
society devoted to the advancement of science and
Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication & IT. Founded
in 1953, it serves more than 70,000 members through its 59
centers spread all over India and abroad. The institution
provides leadership in Science and Technology areas of direct
relevance to the national development and economy.
Government of India has recognized IETE as a Scientific and
Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) and also notified it
as an educational Institution of national eminence. The
objectives of the IETE focus on advancing communication
and electronics technology. The IETE conducts technical
meetings, conferences, symposia and exhibitions all over
India covering the above objectives. It publishes technical
journals and provides continuing education as well as career
advancement opportunities to its members.
About IETE Visakhapatnam Centre
IETE Visakhapatnam Centre was established as sub centre
in 1987 and later was elevated to the status of full fledged
centre in the year 1999. Since its inception, this centre has
been conducting seminars, exhibitions, workshops and
coaching classes to Grad IETE and DIPIETE students.
This has many student forums associated with it. The centre
has about 280 corporate members and 500 student
members. The centre has own building located it Picturesque
Andhra University Campus, Visakhapatnam. The members
of the executive body and corporate members are working
together to bring the centre to greater heights. In the near
future, the centre intends bringing revolutionary changes
to address real life applications which will have impact on
the society at large.
About the conference
IETE Visakhapatnam centre is organizing a Two day National
Conference on Advances in Radar, Communications and
Network Enabled Technologies. This seminar creates a
podium for scientists, technocrats and academicians to
interact, discuss, exchange views with others working in the
same domain.
