Welding and Fabrication Services

Advanced Non-Destructive Examination (NDE)
ACTS offers a wide range of NDE services including Guided Wave Ultrasonic Testing (GWUT), Saturated Low Fre-
quency Eddy Current (SLOFEC), Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD), Pulse Eddy Current (PEC), and Electromagnetic
Acoustic Transducer (EMAT). All technology offered are proved and each defect is validated by another technology.

Cathodic Protection Services

Composite Wraps
Our pipeline repair and reinforcement system is a custom engineered composite system, designed and tested to repair
defects such as internal and external corrosion, dents, gouges, cracks, leaks and fabrication defects, in accordance with
ASME PCC2 and ISO TS24817. With applications above ground, below ground and in water, these composites by far
surpass the versatility of many of its competitors. Our team of technicians are trained and experienced in effectively ap-
plying this composite system precisely to the product specifications.
Hot Tapping Services
Our team of certified, experienced and highly skilled technicians provides superior Hot Tap, line Stops, Line Crimp and
Valve Insertion services to our Clients. We are able to perform hot taps and line stop on pipelines with large diameter.
With 30+ years in these services, we boast of our safety record and client satisfaction. We can also work with our cli-
ents and international partners to offer any unique/custom solution required.
Pressure Testing
With over 25 years of experience, our technicians are skilled and competent to perform all aspects of Pressure Testing.
All our equipment are calibrated and certified to perform testing up to 9,800 psi. ACTS is aware of the high risks in-
volved with working at high pressures and enforces our HSE Policy to ensure the safety of our personnel and our clients.
We complete pressure tests according to ASME standard and assure quality work every time.
Electrical and Instrumentation Services
ACTS understanding of electrical and instrumentation components and their importance in various processes ensures that
we provide timely solutions for the various petrochemical, offshore, utility, and power facilities. We pride ourselves in

Weldless Connection (No Hot Work)
ACTS is also a provider of Quickflange services. The Quickflange solution is a modified standard weld neck flange, with
a patented internal groove(s) pattern machined into it. The Quickflange flange is slid over the pipe end and activated with
a cold-forging tool. There is no spark or heat generated in the activation process, which takes up to 15 minutes to com-
plete for the largest sizes (12 inch) and far less for smaller sizes. The flange design is very simple with a pure metal-to-
metal seal, and no moving parts, balls, springs, seals or gaskets. The issue of crevice corrosion is dealt with through the
application of Belzona, a 2-part epoxy paste which sets-hard to a metal-like consistency
Rope Access Services
Rope access is a form of work positioning, initially developed from techniques used in climbing and caving, which ap-
plies practical rope work to allow workers to access difficult-to-reach locations without the use of scaffolding, cradles or
an aerial work platform. ACTS aims to pioneer this new work method within the industry as the main service provider for
this form of work in Trinidad and by extension the Caribbean. ACTS has begun the process of training local technicians
through Level 1 to Level 3 according to the worldwide standard IRATA and has Level 3 foreign technicians currently
employed to share their expertise on this system

I-Rod
Corrosion at pipe supports is one of the leading causes of process piping failures, which can have potentially catastrophic
results. All styles of pipe supports, including beam supports and pipe saddles, create crevices where water is trapped and
held in constant contact with the pipe surface. Once corrosion is initiated in these pockets, it can quickly undercut the
paint film and cause rapid wall loss as it moves away from the crevice. If these conditions are not addressed, entire sec-
tions of pipe can fail and require replacement. The I-Rod pipe-support system is designed specifically to combat crevice
corrosion and ensure longer, safer lives for pipelines by eliminating crevices between pipes and supports.

Specialty Coatings PF & L
We also offer High performance systems for all your Coating and Lining requirements from Protective Floorings & Lin-
ings (PF & L) . PF & L is a leader in high performance epoxy and vinyl-ester flooring and lining products for pharma-
ceutical, food and beverage, water, waste water, chemical, pulp and paper and industrial environments. PF&L flooring
systems are designed to meet demanding service requirements in a wide range of environments. Depending on the ser-
vice requirements, a PF&L system can be selected ranging from 15 mils, to , or more. Surface textures range from
smooth and sealed, for dry foot traffic areas, to aggressive slip resistance, for wet process areas. All systems have excel-
