COMPANY BACKGROUND
AMCON & COMPANY, INC.
Construction Project Managers
The Company
AMCON & CO., INC., is a Filipino-owned corporation registered with the
Securities and Exchange Commission in May 2001 primarily to engage in and
provide Construction Project Management Consultancy Services.
The men and women behind it are seasoned professionals in the construction
industry. Its founders are former Senior Management Executives of a
recognized construction management firm and have been actively involved in
the industry for decades.
Services
AMCON provides control, direction, coordination, communication and procedures to
ensure the success of a project. We have developed the best systems and procedures
for managing projects and diligently employ them to meet the client's requirements.
Design Management
AMCON performs comprehensive technical design reviews of project
drawings and specifications at different stages of development and reports
their findings and recommendations to the client.
AMCON also provides services for the proper selection of design consultants
for the project and assists the client in establishing pre-qualification criteria
to ensure that only the best and qualified groups are commissioned for the
project.
Value Engineering
Should the estimate of construction costs be in excess of the approved
budget, AMCON will identify potential value engineering items with
recommendations for consideration by the client to bring the project in line
with the project budget.
Project Controls
AMCON's Project Controls System addresses all aspects of program control,
including work breakdown structure, detailed project schedules, submittals
tracking, project monitoring and reporting, change order tracking, budgets vs.
actual costs, and cost at completion.
We employ this system in every project and have proven its success in
meeting our clients' project objectives.
Quality Management
AMCON delivers effective QA/QC services throughout the construction
process. Their four-fold approach includes:
• Construction Supervision
AMCON provides experienced and field-oriented managers to
supervise contractors on site. We speak the contractor's language and
emphasize that we never compromise on quality. Our role as Project
Manager is to ensure that the job gets done right the first time.
• Site Safety and Health Management
AMCON believes that a safe and clean jobsite improves productivity
and quality of work. Our architects and engineers are trained safety
practitioners and ensure safe and healthy conditions through regular
inspections, toolbox meetings, and by implementing AMCON's Site
Safety and Health Management procedures.
Scope Management
AMCON conducts in-depth Scope Reviews with the selected contractors to
ensure that there is a thorough knowledge of the plans and specifications
and that the Scope of Works involved is understood and accepted. This step
serves to eliminate unnecessary and unwarranted change orders that result
from misinterpretation of documents.
Change Management
When changes to the project become necessary, AMCON ensures that the
cost and time impact on the project are properly evaluated and approved
prior to implementation. AMCON has established procedures to ensure that
this process is well documented and has minimal impact in the overall budget
and schedule targets of the client.
Risk Management
With the principals' combined construction experience spanning three
decades in over 50 projects, AMCON has proven its capability to resolve
issues before they become major obstacles to the project's cost and time
objectives. Banking on that proficiency, AMCON identifies potential risks and
lays out solutions even before the problems arise and begin to affect the
client's project budget and schedule.
AMCON clients will realize the significant benefits of their Quality Management
Approach, which are as follows:
