In This Release
================
Intel(R) EMGD is designed specifically to support the unique GRAPHICS
DRIVER requirements of embedded applications for Intel(R) embedded
chipset-based platforms with integrated graphics capability.
This release contains components for:
1) EMGD_1_15_1_CDV_MR_xxxx.exe (where xxxx is the build number)
Windows* XP, Windows* Embedded Compact 7 and Firmware package for N2000/D2000
processors.
2) RELNOTES.txt
Supported Chipsets
==================
Target system must contain one of the following Intel Chipsets/Processors:
Intel(R) Atom(TM) processor N2000/D2000 Series
Please check with your system provider to determine the Intel Chipset
used in your system.
Supported Operating Systems
===========================
This version of driver supports the following OS or distributions:
- Microsoft* Windows XP*/XPe* (and derivatives)
- Microsoft* Windows* Embedded Compact 7 (WEC7)

- DOS / VESA based OS (VBIOS)

- UEFI (GOP)
IMPORTANT: Features/ Limitations/ Known Issues
==============================================
Features:
=========
This release contains the following features/ limitations.
- CH7511* support for DP/eDP to LVDS converter chip on Windows* XP
and Windows* Embedded Compact 7.
- Bug fixes. Please refer to Known Issues section for more detail.
Please report any sighting through the Intel Premier Support process.
- Supports Intel(R) Atom(TM) Express Chipset N2000/D2000
Limitations:
============
- Hardware acceleration for 3D graphics is limited to pure DX9.
DX7 "fixed function" features are not supported and use will
result in image distortion or error messages.
- Hardware accelerated video decode is not supported. Software
decode is supported per the Technical Product Spec.
- CH7511* DP->LVDS converter does not have a panel fitter or scalar
the same way a DP monitor does, therefore non-EDID timing can
NOT be supported at this point.
- When a monitor with HDMI and DVI Interface is used,
1. HDMI Display will export different set of timing compared to
HDMI-TO-DVI Converter (HDMI normally includes the CEA (Consumer
Electronics Association) timing).
2. When HDMI-to-DVI Converter is used on the same HDMI port,
there will be different sets of timing returned
(e.g. only the DVI timings are returned and may be missing
HDMI CEA timings or etc.).
Please see the Technical Product Spec (TPS - available on CDI/IBL)
for details on other supported and unsupported features.
Known Issues:
=============
- Please refer to the "Spec Update" of the driver release for more
detailed information about the driver known sightings and possible
resolutions. The "Spec Update" can be obtained from IBL/CDI.
