Training Synopsis
This course is an Industrial Firefighting Course. This course was developed to serve as an introductory / refresher course for
industrial fire brigade members engaged in industrial firefighting operations.

As an added benefit, during all live fire training evolutions, the class will be organized and conducted utilizing the Incident Command
System to reinforce the requirements of the National Incident Management System.

Occupational Health & Safety Administration requirements and National Fire Protection Association standards that are addressed
include:

OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Subpart L Fire Protection
NFPA 600: Standard on Industrial Fire Brigades
NFPA 1081: Standard for Industrial Fire Brigade Member Professional Qualifications
NFPA 1500: Standard on Fire Department Occupational Safety and Health Program
NFPA 1561: Standard on Emergency Services Incident Management Systems

This training course is not designed to replace the training requirements listed under OSHA 1910. Subpart L, and NFPA 1081 for
Interior Structural Fire Brigades. The structural training portion of this course is only designed to be offered as an awareness level
(which will be stressed during classroom and live fire evolutions) for fire brigade members.
