The Setup

Arrange ten cups in a pyramid-like formation as the diagram shows on each side of a
table. Fill up the cups with 2 to 3 beers.

Deciding who goes rst
The rst shot is decided by Eye to Eye. This is when a player from each team shoots
the ball while maintaining eye contact with their opponent throughout their shot. If both
players miss or both players make it, their partners now shoot. This goes on until one
person makes it and their opponent does not. The hit cup is not removed; the ball is taken
out and rolled back to the team that sank the shot. If it is not the rst game, the winner of
the previous game shoots rst. If new teams are formed or if the winning team retires,
Eye to Eye is done again to see who goes rst.
Elbow Rule
When shooting, players must keep their elbows behind the edge of the table. Breaking
this rule results in the shot not counting. If the shot is made, the infracting player may
step back and re-shoot the ball.
Balls Back Rule
If both teammates hit cups, the balls are rolled back and they get to shoot again.

Re-Racking
Twice per game, each team can request the cups to be rearranged at the start of their turn.
The formation may not be more than 3 cups forward (one cannot call a formation of four
cups in a straight line). In addition, when there are 2 cups left, a player may call
gentlemans which is essentially a third re-rack, and cups are rearranged vertically,
touching each other. Racking may take place only at the start of your turn. Players
cannot call re-rack or call gentlemans for redemption shots or after a balls back. A turn
consists of both players shooting.
Bouncing / Swatting
If a ball bounces off the table or an opponent and then goes into a cup (even by accident),
the cup that the ball goes into is removed, as well as all the cups touching that cup.
However, bounced balls may be swatted.
If a shot bounces off another cup(s) that is in play before landing in an opponents cup
every single cup including the sunk cup must be removed and consumed.
Fixing Cups
At any time in the game, a player may ask for the cups to be xed. This is not to get
confused with re-racking. This is simply putting the cups back to where they would have
been had they not slid or been knocked out of position.

Death Cups
Once a cup is considered hit and before the beer has been drunk, the cup in a players
hand or on the table is referred to as death cups. If this cup is made by the#opposing#team,
the game is automatically over and the team to sink the death cup wins. No redemption
opportunity.
Specically, if the rst player to shoot on a team hits a cup, that cup must be immediately
be pulled for if the second shot goes into the same cup, the game is over.
Island Cup
Each player once per game can call a specic cup if it is not touching any other cup
(singled out due to surrounding cups being hit, not from the cup sliding away from the
other cups on a wet table). If the called cup is hit, the defending team pulls the hit cup
along with an additional cup of their choosing. If the shooter calls a specic cup and hits
another, the ball is pulled out, the unintentionally hit cup remains on the table, and the
shooting team mus remove and drink a cup of their choice.
Redemption
After the last cup is hit each player from the losing team has a chance to hit the remaining
cups. If any one of the losing teams players hits a cup, the cup stays on the table and the
balls are immediately returned to the winning team and the game continues. Redemption
also occurs when the last cup is hit via a bounce rule or an island call.
