World War I Causes

World War I was a global war centred in Europe that began on July 28 1914 and ended
in November 11th 1918. The War was between the worlds great economic powers. During
world WWI there was two opposing alliances, the Triple Entente and the Triple Alliance. The
Triple Entente were Russia, France,Britain vs the Triple Alliance which were Italy, Germany,
Austria-Hungary. Although there are many more countries involved in the war down the road
but it all started between these two Opposing Alliances. The three main causes of the war were
Imperialism. Militarism, and Alliances

First, Imperialism is one of the causes of World War I because it was defined as the
extension of rule of one country over another. European nations ruled smaller countries, called
colonies, and competed with each other to amass more colonies. It all started with France and
Britain when they had lots of colonies in Africa and Asia. Germany and Italy decided they
wanted a colonial empire too. They were jealous of the countries that had other places where
they could gather raw materials and cheap labor. Imperialism caused a big jealous over colonies
between France,Britain,Germany, and Asia.

Secondly, Militarism was one of the main causes of the war.There was a big rivalry
between Germany and Britain, Germany became a military world power and also it was a big
threat to the other world powers. The British and the French naval authorities agreed that the
French navy should be concentrated in the Mediterranean and the British in the North Sea.
Germany and Austria also had military agreements.. Military power also had to do with
industrialization, Machine Guns was invented and very single country wanted to own them or
tanks. Because without one of these two, your army is weak.

Thirdly, Alliances was the main cause of the war because it all started with
protection.Each country would be protected by others in case of war, making it foolish for one
country to wage war on another. No one wanted to be invaded by Russia, stop Italy from
attacking Austria-Hungary.During WWI there were two big opposite Alliance, the Triple Entente
and the Triple Alliances. The Triple Entente are Russia, France, Britain and the Triple Alliances
were Italy, Germany, and Austria-Hungary.
Finally, the three main causes of WWI were Imperialism, Militarism, and Alliances. The
war could've been prevented if countries were willing to make deals and consideration. Instead
of making peace, the world great powers were too busy trying to have a greater power
army.Countries were taking over small countries then overruled them. At last Alliances had a
big impact on the war, i believe it was the main cause of the war. Every single countries should
learn how to deal with these type of issues because going to war should never be an option.
