Job Purpose & Scope




Provides a complete range of Instrumentation Engineering Services
to the Brown Field Minor Projects in Upper Zakum & Zirku Business
Units handled by OS Group
The work scope includes mainly of carrying out site survey,
adequacy checks / technical assessment, engineering studies,
design / detailed engineering and providing Instrumentation
engineering support for procurement & execution for Brownfield
Minor Projects
Ensures that all services provided are in accordance with ZADCO &
Industry standards, procedures and good engineering practices


Principal Accountabilities




a. Perform Instrument adequacy and debottlenecking studies,
carryout detailed engineering for plant upgrades and minor
projects and perform sizing calculations for Control & Safety
Valves and other instruments using computer softwares
b. Carryout site survey / as-building of Instrumentation documents
as relevant
c. Develop Instrument & Control / Safety valve specifications,
Instrument location plans & cable routing drawings, Loop
diagrams, instrument tie-in Schedules, Instrumentation control
system philosophy / design documents and other Design data /
specifications as relevant.
d. Prepare tender / procurement specifications and carryout
technical bid evaluations. Review / approve Contractors
engineering deliverables and vendor drawings / documents
e. Prepare engineering packages comprising scope of work,
drawings /data sheets, MTO, schedules, load lists, technical
proposals, engineering estimates as relevant
f. Carry out design / engineering, prepare procurement
specifications for Instrument control system of F&G, ESD and
DCS including SIL complied F&G / ESD system
g. Assist and participate in troubleshooting, plant start-up &
commissioning, provide technical advice & assistance to plant
operation / maintenance and participate in operation review
audits. Provide inputs for the preparation of operating manuals
& procedures
h. Provide technical support / participate in material inspection /
FAT and attend functional tests and performance guarantee
tests as relevant
i. Interface with other engineering disciplines and provide
instrument input to carryout detailed engineering activities.
Participate in HAZOP and other safety reviews
j. Coaching and mentoring UAE national graduates / Developees

Qualification & Experience




a) Bachelor Degree in Instrumentation / Electronics Engineering
b) Minimum 12 years of industry experience in Instrumentation
Engineering of which at least 5 years in Oil & Gas industry. Industry
experience should include engineering consultancy, project
execution, detailed design and operations technical support
c) Well conversant with International Codes & Standards and Industry
Best Practices
d) Computer literate and well conversant with relevant technical
softwares
e) Very good knowledge of English
