DENOMINATIONAL CONVENTION,
LATE BISHOP FESTO KIVENGERES FAMILY
ATTEND INSPIRING MEMORIAL LECTURE

INTRODUCTION & THE MISSION

Uganda has finally hosted the first ever inter-denominational international
convention.

Convention Identity:
The inter-denominational Healing for the Nations International Convention
(HNIC) was organised/hosted by World Shine Ministries (WSM).
WSM collaborated with a myriad of other organisations and individuals from May
11 to 18, 2014.
Thousands of congregants converged at Ntinda Primary School, in eastern
Kampala for fellowship, renewal and revival of apostolic Christianity.
We have acknowledged that Africa and the world generally are bleeding with
broken walls of Revival, Government, Judiciary, Economy, Education, Media,
Religion, Music and Entertainment, Family, the Community and all areas of life.
It is the Church of Jesus Christ that has a key to the rebuilding of the Nations. It
was an empowering and impartation convention. It equipped the church for
ministry.

WSM Vision:

WSM is an inter-denominational, non-profit, non-political, non-racial and non-
governmental, International Christian organisation helping the Church to Shine
for Christ in the Healing of the Nations.
WSM Mission is Reaching, Raising and Releasing Transformed Christian Leaders
for the Healing of the Nations.
Reaching: them through Evangelism, Literature, Networking, Advocacy.
Raising: them through Training, Education, Mentoring, Advocacy and
Releasing: the through Team Building, Motivating and Commissioning them into
Ministry and the Market place.

Convention Objectives:

Mobilising, Motivating & Preparing the Church for Revival & Healing of the
Nations;
Empowering, Imparting & Equipping the Church for Ministry;
Networking, Partnering & Collaborating for Ministry;
Fellowshipping, Renewal & Revival of Apostolic Christianity;
Reaching Kampala City with the Gospel of Jesus;
Bringing Christians Together for the Common Aim of Shinning for Christ.

Convention Basis:

The convention was based on the famous Biblical story of an outstandingly
industrious and visionary leader, Nehemiah. Our theme is extracted from
Nehemiah 2:17 Then I said to them, you see the trouble we are in, Jerusalem
lies in ruins, and its gates have been burnt with fire, come let us rebuild the walls
of Jerusalem and we will no longer be in disgrace.
Rev. Dr. Hartmurt Kopsch (right) did the Bible Exposition for the whole
week.
Nehemiah is the last of the Old Testament historical book. It records the history
of the third return to Jerusalem after captivity, telling how the walls were rebuilt
and the people were renewed in their faith.
Much of the book is written in the first person, suggesting strongly Nehemiah
wrote the book with Ezra as editor.
The special features, the book shows the fulfillment of the prophecies of
Zechariah and Daniel concerning the rebuilding of Jerusalems walls. The original
audience were the exiles who returned from captivity. The book was written
between 445-432 BC.
The setting of the book was that Zerubabel led the first return to Jerusalem in
538 BC. In 458, Ezra led the second return. Finally, in 445, Nehemiah returned
with the third group of exiles to rebuild the city walls.

enjoyed singing Gods songs for the people.

CONCLUSION

The Healing for the Nations International Convention was a huge success. A great
mission it was, this interdenominational convention. It was a huge step of faith. It
touched hundreds of lives locally.
Of course, we had some challenges since this was a pioneer convention. We need
to work on all aspects of preparation for the next convention as soon as possible.
