Topic : how has the global village contributed to the need for
diversity awareness in our organizations?
Global village:
Global village, is the term used to describe the world shrunk into a village by the means
of the different media types, most especially the World Wide Web, making it easy to
pass across messgaes (like the news), thereby making the world become like a single
village where people can easily contact each other quicker.

Organizations were working with the UNICULTURE environment, uniulture
re!ers to the soiet" or environment were #ersons living or working in the
organizations having same language ,$ressing an$ eating% In short having same
norms an$ soial values %
(he organi2ations were in to it, they have to apply one policy and it was applicable to all
the persons working in the organi2ations ,its all due to uniculture environment .e.g
3akistani uniculture if some policy is made that can be applicable to 3akistanies they can
easily accept that .!ut later on , due to the emergence of technology and the modern
working environment the development of (elecommunication and internet which fastens
the way to communicate more then before.
(his gives a thinkable point to the organi2ations that first they werelimited to some
area ,because if they e4tent themselves they may lack control due to absence of
&ommunication but when this technology came this was a new turn o the !usiness
world as many organi2ations can now e4pand themselves and can establish some
communication .

(he organi2ations shifted themselves as per e.g 'ike shifted themselves to *.".% and
china their productions houses and e4pand almost in all the world or organi2ation like

organi2ations e4panded themselves .When this happens one organi2ation is operating 56
percent in *." , 76 percent in china and 86 percent in *.".% the people of china
worked in that organi2ation ,the people of *.".% worked in the organi2ation and in
*.".% there are 3akistanies , "rabs, $ndians etc
then the working environment of the organi2ation will not be uniculture it will have
work diversity environment or 9ulticultural environment ,the awareness was deeply
created when the one policy was not applicable to the whole organi2ation the policy may
not suit &hinese and other culture people so in this way the
