Analysis Interpretation Essay
Marshal B. Rosenberg once said, Every criticism, judgment, diagnosis, and expression
of anger is the tragic expression of an unmet need. In other words, expression is a
necessity for all mankind. Human feelings, regarding if it is hate or love, the essence of
the need remains inside the mind and body of the human being. Without any
expression, people will be desolated corpses, which will be aloof to any kind of love or
affection. Without expression, feelings will become elusive toward the cold and
apathetic heart. If there is no expression, then the human being will be zombified
within his world, and this world would becoming a colorless cage for mankind.
Expression is the color of life, and the artists of this big painting are poets, writers and
artists. It is said that poetry is dedicated just to the feelings of the author. In other words
is one of the ways of expression, this is why poetry is necessary for life.
Many poems such as The Red Wheel Barrel of Williams William can have an infinite
number of meanings. There for this is why is so important,(more variety on the
expression the infinite possibilities of trespassing a feeling). The poem talks about So
much depends upon; a red wheel barrow; glazed with rainwater, beside the white
chickens(Williams William, 1923). The poem from my point of view embodies many
themes. Beginning with the color Red, that in many times means fighting, conflict or
passion. By making the wheel barrel red, the author expresses that there is a conflict
within the Wheel Barrel. In the other hand, the Red wheel barrel embodies another
meaning.
The significance of the Red Wheel Barrel is that problems and conflicts of human
beings are carried in the wheel barrel. If it is put to thought, humankind will always
have to carry problems in their lives, these make them improve and work harder.
Moving on to the next object, the rainwater might represent the tear and sorrow of every
human involving those problems, and is important to point out that tears an sorrow are
carried along the problems or conflicts. Finally the white chickens represent people who
is afraid, to carry on their problems. The chickens that cant carry on their problems will
fail in life. That was my interpretation of the poem, and I think that the author wrote it
for people to realize how he expostulates white chicken people, and try to encourage
people to be the opposite.
In conclusion, the importance of poems can be sometimes underestimated. Since they
are a necessity, they can easily shot a message inside the human brain, and caging it in
the mind of someone. Williams William tried to give a message, and the mastering of
his poem was the ambiguity. This helps the expression to be better, as said before. The
advantage of ambiguity is that a message and feeling can be shaped so the transmission
can occur faster, since it adapts and evolves according to the audience. But rather than
the velocity and ambiguity the real importance is the coloring of life, in other words, the
provocation of a feeling in the individual is the art, and the golden key.
