Pur,ose -
The purpose of this procedure is to provide guidelines to all operating plants and
associated services for the proper handling, storage & disposal of the various kind of
waste generated from the complex.
Sco,e -
This procedure applies to all kinds of the waste generated from process plant & its
associated services. It also deals with process waste & non-process waste.
Res,onsi.ility -
Plant H! and "# $%nvironment& are responsi'le for the classif(ing waste as
ha)ardous or non-ha)ardous as per the schedule * I & II of +The Ha)ardous
,astes $#anagement and Handling& -ules, 1./. amended in 0112.
It is the responsi'ilit( of Plant H! to implement the waste management
practice as outlined in this procedure in the plants.
It is the responsi'ilit( of H! $Purchase & 3ontracts& to identif( the suita'le off
site reprocessors having valid consents4authorisation of respective state pollution
control 'oard 4#%5 for the salea'le waste.
It is the responsi'ilit( of "# $%nvironment& to evaluate the Ha)ardous waste
purchaser 4 part( 4 off site reprocessor and audit their facilities.
President $#anufacturing& is responsi'le for providing all the resources for
disposal of non-salea'le ha)ardous wastes.
Plant H! is responsi'le for informing H! $Purchase & 3ontracts& for the
generation of salea'le ha)ardous & non - ha)ardous waste.
Procedures -
The waste which are following under purview of the schedule * I & II of +The
Ha)ardous ,astes $#anagement and Handling& -ules, 1./. and as amended up
to 01126 are considered as ha)ardous wastes.
Identif( process wastes as ha)ardous & non-ha)ardous waste and salea'le &
non salea'le as per the 3hart - 7.
Identif( non process wastes as Ha)ardous ,aste and 8on ha)ardous ,aste as
per 3hart - 9.
5ollow 3hart - 3 for management of ha)ardous wastes at site.
5ollow 3hart - ! for management of the non - ha)ardous wastes.
5ollow 3hart - % for the logistics4movement of non - process $non ha)ardous&
wastes within site.
5ollow 3hart * 5 for Incineration of wastes in ,aste Incinerator
.
Tu'e light waste is either sold to a party having valid license of state pollution
control board or sent for secured landfilling.

A central waste storage area is developed for temporary storage of following
