Curtis Witter 1947-2012
Mr. Curtis Decordova Witter, affectionately known as Shaggy, 65, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at the Montefiore Medical Center located in the Bronx, New York. Curtis was born on February 12, 1947, in Morningside, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, to Noel and Clarice Witter. He graduated from Morningside School in 1960. He married the love of his life, Caslone Bent on December 21, 1983. He migrated to the United States in 1986 while working on the Farm Work Program. He was employed by SJB Interiors, Inc., for over fifteen years, retiring in 2009. Curtis had a zest for life, a generous spirit and heart, and lived his life with enthusiasm and indulgence. He is survived by his loving wife Caslone, sons, Everton, Andrew and Curtis (Junior), daughters, Charmen, Joan (Barbara), Suzzette and Wendy, mother, Clarice, grandchildren, Adrianna, Natalie, Zhanay, Jayda, Brandon, Neila and Peyton, sisters, Millicent, Merille and Dorothy, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
