The Delta PRB Sewage Treatment Plant is a fully biological
type unit, specially designed to comply with the latest
regulation of MARPOL Annex IV, IMO MEPC.159(55)
Resolution, in force since January 2010. The plant is made
up of the following tanks:

In a MBR, the membranes filter
the biological mixture, keeping
the organisms in the process
and allowing water to flow
through the membrane.
COLLECTING & AREATION TANK: The aerobic
biological process takes place in this tank, by means of continuous areation.
SETTLING TANK: Settling of suspended solids and particles is effected in this tank.
DISINFECTION TANK: Clarified water is then disinfected with hipochlorite.
The MBR system is capable to assure a high quality effluent
in a very compact design. Due to the small pore size of
membranes, effluent obtained from this technology
produce a high disinfection and a complete removal of
suspended solids of the water.
