Perform pre-installation procedures as described in the installation documentation. 2. Find bulletins and patches. 3. Confgure BMC Remedy Action Request Server and databases. 3. Make sure databases and computers meet requirements listed in the documentation and on the compatibility matrix: http://www.bmc.com/support/reg/remedy-compatibility-tables.html?c=n 5. Complete pre-installation worksheets, capturing required installation parameters, such as --AR System administrator credentials --AR System host name, server ID, and port

Check the log fle for errors 2. Apply patches and updates 3. Install extensions 4. Restart the Mid Tier 5. Perform feature-specifc confguration 6. Access the BMC Atrium Core user console: http://<midtier>:<port>/arsys Confguring multiple instances of BMC Atrium Integration Engine enables your data transfers to use AR System threads more efciently. Installing BMC Atrium Web Services components on a separate computer can reduce CPU load for heavy web services trafc scenarios. Installing all BMC Atrium Core features on a single computer is only recommended for very small, or non-production environments. B M C

Install BMC Atrium Core The diagram depicts an example deployment of BMC Atrium Core. Your deployment may vary depending on your needs. The requirements shown are not the only requirements necessary , and your requirements will be diferent, depending on your confguration. You can choose to install one or more of the following features: BMC Atrium CMDB BMC Atrium Impact Simulator BMC Atrium Web Services BMC Atrium Web Services Registry Atrium Integrator (recommended only for new data transfers between external data sources and BMC Atrium CMDB) BMC Atrium Integration Engine (recommended for existing data transfers between external data sources and BMC Atrium CMDB) Minimal Installation -AR System server -BMC Remedy Mid Tier AR System database Minimal installation on Server A BMC Atrium Web Services Registry Quick Reference BMC Atrium Core 7.6.04 Export New View Refresh Save Print Options Display Create Promote Launch Filter IT Services Saves the current view as a .png image.
