The Purchaser shall be the highest bidder. In the event of a dispute between two or more bidders, the
Auctioneer shall either declare the Purchaser or, at his option, immediately re-offer the disputed lot for sale.
In absence of designated Auctioneer on premises, the Auction Coordinator assigned by the Organization
(Evas Initiatives) assumes the role of Auctioneer or may designate a Director of the Organization to assume
the role.
Settlement in full shall be made to the cashier by the Purchaser by cash, personal cheque with proper
identification (payable to Evas Initiatives), Visa, or MasterCard within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the
sale. If settlement in full does not occur within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the sale, the lot or lots may,
at the Auctioneers absolute discretion, be put up again and resold. In the eventuality of default where the lot
or lots are not resold, the Purchaser shall be liable to the consignor for the loss occasioned by such default.
Successful Purchasers may take their item upon proof of purchase. For larger items that cannot be carried,
a delivery date must be arranged the evening of the auction with delivery completed prior to June 30, 2014.
Purchasers who intend to bid are required to register prior to the auction session and will be assigned a
number for bidding purposes. Satisfactory identification must be presented at time of registration.
The Auctioneer reserves the right:
a. To refuse any bid;
b. To determine the amount to be advanced at each bidding;
c. To sell without reserve, unless written instructions to the contrary are received by the Auctioneer
conducting the sale in question before the advertised time of such sale.
Each lot shall be at the risk and cost of the consignor until the fall of the Auctioneers hammer, when it shall
be at the risk and cost of the Purchaser.
Each and every lot is sold as-is with defects and errors of description and is taken and paid, whether genuine
and authentic or not, and no compensation shall be paid for same.
Notwithstanding the previous conditions of sale in #7 above, if, within 10 days after the sale of the lot, the
Purchaser gives notice in writing to the Auctioneers that the lot sold is a deliberate forgery and, within seven
days of such notification, the Purchaser returns the same to the Auctioneers that considered in light of the
entry into the catalogue is a deliberate forgery, then the sale of the lot will be rescinded and the purchase
price of same will be refunded.
No lot may be removed without written order of the Auctioneer, which order may be withheld from the
Purchaser in respect of lots not fully paid for.
Nothing in the above conditions shall disentitle the Owner, the Organization or the Auctioneer, as their agent,
from compelling a purchaser to pay the price of any lot purchased.
In the event of any failure of the Purchaser to comply with any of the above conditions, the damages
recovered from the defaulter shall include the loss arising on any sale or resale of the lot together with the
charges and expenses in respect to both sales.
Gift Certificates for Professional Services may be restricted to the Greater Toronto Area. Additional charges
may apply at the discretion of the Consultant or Service Provider.
Auction catalogue subject to additions or deletions after printing.
All sales are final. Some values are estimated.
Travel packages are subject to blackout dates, expiry dates and availability.
Gift certificates do not include taxes, liquor or gratuities, unless otherwise stated.
Purchaser assumes all liability of use and/or ownership of a purchased lot and releases Auctioneer and
Organization (Evas Initiatives) free of any and all liability.

MONICA POLO
RYERSON DESIGN LIAISON
Prior to graduating from RSID in 2002, Monica had already realized that design
is where she needed to be. Her internships early on in the program allowed her
to enter the practice with experience in corporate planning. Progressing from
a large corporate environment to a smaller dynamic firm, Monica worked on
many projects in the downtown core. Throughout this time, environmental and
sustainable solutions were major components of her design philosophy. After
becoming a LEED AP, she rejoined RSID as a practitioner link to academia
within the Design Centre. Her mission is to bridge the gap between school and
practice by engaging industry with the students, reinforcing the green agenda
within practice and continuing to instill the beauty of finely presented working
drawings.
