OIL MIST PRESERVATION
OF A 15,000
HP ELECTRIC MOTOR
Oil mist is applied to the motor bearings in storage to protect
them from contaminants and corrosion. A building was
constructed specifically to house this very important motor for
a chemical plant in the Houston, Texas area. Rail tracks were
installed to move the motor out of the building quickly if it is
needed. If this motor were not available in the plant and ready
for service the facility would lose thousands of dollars waiting for
their failed motor to be repaired.
The LubriMate Oil Mist System was selected to apply mist to
the bearings and recover the stray mist and coalesced oil to
insure a clean environment for the storage area. Also the LubriMate is a closed loop system so the unit does not require
daily maintenance to refill the reservoir.
OIL MIST ON TEST STAND
Oil mist is applied to the bearings of a pump on test at Pompe
Gabioneta manufacturing plant in Milan Italy. Overhung
and Between Bearing pumps were tested with the portable
LubriMate Oil Mist Generator. The LubriMate unit comes as a
kit with all necessary reclassifiers, tubing, fittings and test oil.
The LubriMate Oil Mist System was selected to apply mist to the

OIL MIST
ON GOULDS PROCESS PUMP
This remote pump runs intermittently when needed to empty
a tank. The average life of the bearings was 3 months with
sump lubrication. After 1 year of lubrication with a LubriMate
no bearings have failed. Luboil 100 was selected for this
application.
Heated Roll used to form Synthetic Fibers
Dienes Apparatus Inc. of Pineville, North Carolina manufactures
Godets and uses LubriMates to lubricate the two motor
bearings. The newer Godets have built-in reclassifiers ready for
connecting to an oil mist system. The Godets are mounted in a
housing in set of 3 to 8 and are referred to as a position. The rolls
turn at 3,000 to 10,000 RPM.
