I am a self-taught artist through the use of tutorials offered in the
extensive space of the Internet. I studied as Bachelor of Science in Information
Technology, which has just conceded with fying colors and diploma. However, my frst and genuine interest is to showcase my skill as a graphic designer, which I am trying to reach this reverie from my childhood. Even as a child, I am more inquisitive on how stuffs work rather than just being captivated with art. At that moment, I am dreaming somehow that I could make things I admire to do. I am fond of watching cartoons and anime, I inspect every specifcs like the movement of the body, the color palettes used, the background, camera angles, styles and anything that is admirable and I want to learn. This curiosity lead me to study a short training course of 2D Assistant Animation. That doesnt end there. While studying the said course, I learned that animation industry is really hard to be part of, especially in the country where they cannot fnd fnancial support on every project they committed. It is also seasonal, perhaps I have to deal with those concerns. I studied IT because I am part of Netizen even before I take the course. I know how HTML works then, which I developed my interest in Graphic Arts. I took several projects in the campus, specifcally on our course organization which I was in directorate position and director in visual presentation. I took this opportunity to gain experience and even something to put in my portfolio hence- forth. On my sidelines, I take online commissions of my works in the Inter- net. I will receive illustration requests from the commissioner, and the transaction will be sent from Paypal. This community of artists in Deviantart is where I display my commission rate and casual artworks. Graphic design is a visual expression that gives knowledge and comprehensive statement. It is not just for personal expression but also to relate the message to the observers. My vision lies on how I give my personal touch to a standard aesthetic. The identity I created went through a raw procedure to reinvent my style from the appreciation of others, thus made me fascinated with the complications of human perception then leads my attention in graphic arts. I consider myself as a dilettante. It has two different meanings from the 18th century to present. At the present day, it has a negative connotation synonym to a dabbler or amateur. The word derived from Italian word dille- tare, meaning to delight, a lover of art. I prefer to call myself the former meaning, thus I believe the latter one to be non-existent. Art takes no pressure, it is not a profession, cant be study but can be learn. Its beauty is idiosyncratic, takes by the eye of beholder. As long as you can appreciate art, thus you are an artist, well everybody is just by appreciating the work of God, the nature, and yourself. The core of what I offer as a designer is to give appreciation and a message. Sometimes, I tend to pressure myself to fnd my own identity, but I just learned that it is not supposed to take extremely, by enjoying it, you can give more focus on what message you really what to share in your work. Thats the most important for me, Art is for appreciation, a visual way to connect human insight. My artwork varies with different styles: Cartoonish/Anime style, Semi Realism, and Realism. This design has only one common ground with forms of consistency. Some of my created illustrations are from my personal hobby, requested commissions and projects. I know Freehand and Also Digital Art, which showcase both consistency in style. I have also studied perspectives, foreshortening, anatomy, and such basic application in my drawings. Poster Ads and Media Campaigns were my project sole- ly inside of the University. I am the director of our society when it comes to Audio-Visual and Mul- timedia Presentation. Every sem- inars and annual events we gather has its own promotional posters so that we can inform audience to come. Motion Graphic Audio-Visual Presentation is one of my specialty and my main task on our school organization. I was also hired thrice to make our offcial Baccalaureate Mass AVP in our university. Heres some of screenshots of my work. Web Design is always my main task on our Web Design Subject. I learned this even before I took my course. Through the use of Internet, I did learn by my- self with the basic structure of CSS and HTML. Heres some of my miscel- laneous works in thumbnail. Some of them were done just for my personal hobby, some were personal projects. This capstone project is a requirement for every students of IT to pass their course. It was re- garded as a thesis before, but we are granted to form it as a capstone project instead. My team had created a 2D Beat em up PC game entitled Vanguards vs. Virus (stylized as V- Cube), where my task is to direct the graphic and visual content of the project. I was the only artist from our team and I worked with the task singlehandedly - from its concept, character design, timeline, stage, and animation. The game has its own storyline to follow deal- ing with anthromoprhic (personifcation) models of computer virus, and anti-virus we call as Vanguards, in a virtual social community world, hence the expla- nation of the title. The character design is styled in a chibi (bighead, small body) anime form, and is highly infuenced with the characters from online role playing games job class characters.
