I have suffered with heart trouble,
and
being a nurse 1 tried to obtain the
best
medical help possible. My heart was
en-
larged to the point where it resembled
a
long-neced gourd, reaching from the ribs

on the left to beyond the midline on the

right and pressing the diaphram.

of the regular rhythm of the normal heart,
I had "gallop rhythm,# or irregular

time. $he pain e%tended down the left

our Lord Jesus &hrist, it
behooves us of the
ministry to employ every
vehicle that is at our
disposal, for
the,spreading of the
gospel and the healing of
the sic. $herefore
through the medium of
radio, we are reaching
multitudes of lost
humanity and the sic
and suffering. Many are
hearing the @ull /ospel
through our efforts, for
which we than /od. 'e
receive hundreds of letters
from people who say they
are hearing the message of
deliverance from all
manner of sicness,
disease and afflic-tion, for
the first time. So abundant
are the testimonies of the
people saved, bacsliders
brought bac and
especially all manner of
sicness and diseases
healed by the power of
/od as a result of the
healing cloths laid on their
bodies, that it would tae a
volume to record all the
testimonies.
'hen /od spoe to
me several years ago and
told me to carry on this
radio ministry, 1e
promised to bring such
great results that we
would be able finally to
reach the whole
9- world with this
ministry. As my vision
revealed, millions of lost
souls and sic and
suffering humanity who
were unguided in the
truths of /od4s word
regarding complete 3ible
deliver-ance, are now
hearing this life-giving
message through four
different daily broadcasts
as well as the Sunday
broadcasts.
!t is my /od-given
order
and
vision
to
see
that
the
@ull
/osp
el, via
radio,
is
preac
hed
unto
all the
world
befor
e the
return of our Lord
Jesus &hrist.
1
$his is the
greatest
responsibility ! have
ever undertaen and
only /od-given
strength sustains us
and eeps us giving
out these broadcasts
to millions who hear
each wee. 'e need
the prayers of our
friends, for we are
getting but little rest
in order to eep
these broadcasts on
the air. But the hour
is short and the times
are critical. Our
nation is heading for
disaster. Therefore,
we must spare no
effort in this world-
wide revival by radio.
@riends, it is too-
late for half-way
measures. 'e must
go all-out for /od.
$he financial
responsibility of
paying the tens of
thousands of dollars
for the radio time on
these super-power
stations, is
tremendous. 'e are
not only putting our
/od-given strength
into this radio
ministry, but also praying that all of /od4s people will stand
behind these broadcasts.
!t is wonderful how /od has supplied every, need as we have
believed 1im for it. 'e have received hundreds of letters from
people who have subscribed to $1< A.!&< O( 1<AL!-/ as a
result of the broadcasts, and they tell of the tremendous blessings
this wonderful magaCine has brought into their life. !n the

%u"i-+ect with
which we are

the Apostle Pau"
in the &or-
inthian epistles,

other epistles.
Although the
directions given i
n the &orinthian
epistles are
intended
primarily to meet
the local
conditions, they,
nevertheless, are
applicable on a
body-wide scale.
$he apostle
declares the
condition that
e%ists i n the
&orinthian church
by saying, "!t hath

mentions himself
first, for a group i
n the &orinthian
church had chosen
$iin as their pre-
ferred preacher,
(uite evidently
without any en-
couragement from
him. ,aul
indicates $i% sin-
cerity in deploring
and attempting to
correct this party
spirit by placing
his name first on
the list, and thus
being the first to be
demoted as a scc-
tarian leader. -o
doubt, the /entile
believers clung to
,aul as their
leader, hs against
those Jews which
preferred ,eter

$hen there
were the
&ephasites, the
follorvers of
&ephas, or ,eter.
1e, of course, had
an np-parent
priority over the
others, being one of
tha first followers
of Jesus. 1is
apostleship was
well established,
there being no
argument as in the
case of ,aul. 1e
was a "senior
minister,# and there
were those who felt
that he deserved a
SII-perior place, and
so were (uite
prepared to battle
for his leadership.
@inally, ,aul
mentions the &hrist
party. +his may at
first seem strange,
for we should a"" lie
"of &hrist.# !t has
been suggested,
however, that "this
sect of &hrist
probably re+ected the
apostles, and
professed to be
admirers and
followers of the
traditional sayings of
Jesus. $hey
approved 1is ethics,
but re+ected the
doctrines outlined in
the /ospel, and
more fully
e%pounded in the
epistles. ,ossibly,
the apostle had this
group in mind when
he wrote,
"1enceforth now
we no man after the
flesh2 yea, though
we have nown
&hrist after the flesh,
yet now henceforth
now we 1im no

729L?
$he apostle
counters this
condition with three
pertinent (uestions,
the first one being,
"!s &hrist dividedJ#
.f course, the
answer. to this is an
emphatic "-oK# $he
body of &hrist is
one, and noivs but
one headN4the risen4
and glorified Lord
Jesus &hrist. $he
one head governs
the body, in-
structing the various
members concerning
their duty, and
appointing the
various tass for the
individual parts of
the body. $hus,
instead of in-
dividual members of
the body setting up
an in-dependent
centre of
government and
control, they must at
all times adhere to
the authority of the
head. $he structure
of the human body
contains the
e(uipment for
controlling and
direct. ing the
various functions of
the body. !t $a% the
advantage as the
highest part of the

farthest, and thus
from its high place

which live on a 4lower plane, and are
depending-upon the head for di-rection.

Bather than treating the people4s opinion of

$he people4s opinion of him, and his opinion of himself
was not the final opinion. $he final word was the Lord4s.
"@or,# says ,aul, "he that +udgeth. me is the Lord,# and
the day is coming when the Lord will indeed +udge our
service, not on the basis of ap-parent success, but on the
hasis o f our motives, for in that day 1e "will mae
manifest the coun-sels of the hearts.# $his is a very
solemniCing fact, and ought to bring preacher and
people alie to their nees in humble heart-searching to
ascertain our motives and mae sure that we are
woring on sound priciples.
-o minister has a right to boast, "@or who maeth
thee to differ from anotherJ And what hast thou that
thou didst not receiveJ &ow if thou didst receive it,
why dost thou glory as if thou hadst not received itJ#
Let us not indulge in carnal comparisons, but receive
with thansgiv2 ing every gift of /od, thaning 1im
for 1is ap-pointed evangelists, and pastors and
teachers, and as they see to feed u$ the 'ord of
/od, and thrill our hearts with their e%hortation and
com-fort, let all the glory be 1is, 'ho is the head of
the body, and the Lord of 1is churah, and the 0ing of
1is 0ingdom.
$hat this condition of division is serious is clearly
stated hy the apostle as he continues his instruction,
writing, "!, brethren, could not spea unto you as unto
spiritual, but as unto carnal, cven as unto babes in
&hrist.. .@or ye are yet carnal2 for whereas there is among
you envying, and strife,, and divisions, are. ye not carnal,
and wal as menJ @or while one saitb, ! am of ,aul, and
another, I am of ApollosN are ye not carnalJ# >! &or. 3.1,
", 4.1 !t is evident therefore, that party-spirited people are
incapable of receiving mature instruction, and will
always be found sing-ing the praises of human leadership,
maing pretty comments on pulpit mannerisms, and the
personal appearance and personality niceties of preachers.
$hey have little or no time for an in-diistrious study of
/od4s 'ord, or a diligent see-ing alter the Lord. $hey are
8ods undeveloped children, tor while they are not babes
in the matter 71 years of professed salvation, they are "as
babes# in the matter of understanding and conduct. $hey
have not developed normally with tlie years, and are a
heartache to the @ather. 'e can imagine the constant pain
in a mother4s heart as she watches her growing child,
noticing physical development, and yet aware that the
mind is not developing with the body. 1ow our 1enienly
@ather, too, must loo with sorrow upon iis ps we go from
year to year devolping in re-ligious activity )and church
attendance, and yet undeveloped -i(our nowledge of 1is
will through - l i e 'ord.
,,aul,4having.dealt with the sin of schism and !+oving
scored it -as being ,.wrong, now proceeds to-deal with the
true evaluation of the minister and his ministry. "'ho
then is ,aul, and who is Apollos,# he says, "but ministers
by whom ye believed, even as the Lard gave to every
manJ# )$hese men who lead you to &hrist and serve you i
n the ministry.of the 'ord are "but ministers# which
means ))servants," and if they are able to help you, it is
hecause "the Lord gave to every man >each one?.# <ach
one o f these ministers rewired their ability and particular
ministry
froni 8od, and so ,aul goes on to
say, 7I have planted, Apollos
wateredN but /od gave the in-
crease.# As in gardening, one
plants the seed, another waters it,
and the unseen forces of growth
give the increaseN so in the field of
&hris-tian service, one minister
plants, another waters, and /od,
lie the unseen forces of growth,
gives the increase.
"So then neither is he that
planteth any thing, neither is e
that waterethN but -od that
giveth the increase.# &ompared to
/od, ministers are nothing. 'hen
the true power in &hristian service
is readily understood, then the
ministry fades into insignificance.
!t is a human trait to always loo
at the things seen. /od is
everything. 1e is the .ne who
imparts eternal life to believing
sinners. 1e alone is to be
recogniCed and wor-shipped as
leader. .
@urthermore, rather than
ministers being com-petitors and
leaders of individual groups, the
apostle says, "1e that planteth and
he that watereth are one.# $hey
are not rival leaders, each
boasting of his particular sect.
$rue min-istry usually becomes
divided when /od ceases to he
the supreme motive for service.
'hen a denomination or a creed
taes the place of /od, then the
ministry ceases to be
e%peSnentally one. !t is decidedly
wrong therefore, to spea of
ministers as rivals, and is a sign of
carnality.
