Isra wal Miraj Ibadaat (Prayers)

The night Journey & Heavenly Ascension

Introduction:
The consensus of the scholars is that the Isra wal Miraj (the Night Journey and the Heavenly
Ascension) of Sayyidinah Rasulullah ( ) took place in the month of Rajab, on the night of the
27
th
. This means that the 27
th
night of Rajab and the day of the 27
th
are considered blessed times
which should be used for ibadat, worship, and increasing in ones love for Allah and His Beloved
Prophet ( ).

The Isra and Miraj was a tremendous miracle which Allah gave to the Master of the people of the
Heavens and the Earth ( ), to demonstrate his superiority over mankind, jinn-kind, angels and
the whole of creation.

There are many lessons in the events that took place during this journey which serve as a means
of increasing in faith and love. The scholars say that the best night in relation to the Ummah as a
whole was the night on which the Prophet ( ) was born, whereas the best night in relation to
the Prophet ( ) himself was the night of the Isr and Mi`rj.

Every Created Thing Longed To Have It's Portion Of Allah's Beloved ( )
It Was Not Until He ( ) Made His Mi'raaj That The Heavens Got Their Portion Of Him ( )

Ibadat:
In the night of the 27
th
of Rajab, the night Sayyidinah Rasulullah ( ) made his journey through
the seven heavens, one should offer twelve rakats of nafl prayer (split into 3 prayers of 4 rakat
each).

1. In the first set of 4 rakats after surah al Fatiha, recite:
Surah Qadr (Surah 97) three times in each rakah
After completing this 1
st
set, stay seated and recite the following 70 times:

Laa ilaaha illallaahul-Malikul-Haqqul-Mubiin

2. In the second set of 4 rakats, after surah al Fatiha, recite:
Surah Nasr (Surah 110) three times in each rakah
After completing this 2
nd
set, stay seated and recite the following 70 times:

Innaka Qawiyyum-Muiinunw-Waahidiyyun Daliilun bi-Haqqi iyyaaka nabudu wa
iyyaaka nastaiin

3. In the third set of 4 rakats, after surah al Fatiha, recite:
Surah Iklhaas (Surah 112) three times in each rakah
After completing this final third set, remain seated and recite Surah Sharah/Ash-Sharh (Surah 94)
70 times. Then make any dua or supplication youd like!

During the day be sure to fast, and spend the morning in ibadat.
Additionally, after Zuhr prayer, offer 4 rakat nafl prayer (as 1 unit of 4 rakat).
1. In the first rakah after surah al Fatiha, recite:
Surah al Qadr (Surah 97) three times
2. In the second rakah after surah al Fatiha, recite:
Surah Ikhlaas (Surah 112) three times
3. In the third rakah after surah al Fatiha, recite:
Surah Falaq (Surah 113) three times
4. In the fourth and final rakah after surah al Fatiha, recite:
Surah Nas (Surah 114) three times
After completing the final rakah, recite Salawat wa Salaam/Durood Sharif on Sayyidinah
Rasulullah ( ) 100 times. Offering this prayer in this method will allow for one to have all his
righteous wants fulfilled inshaAllah ameen.

Evidences:
Good deeds in these 24 hours (of the 27
th
of Rajab) are more [encouraged] than in other
unspecific (mutlaq) nights and days. A proof for this is that if Musa (Alayhis Salaam) celebrated
the day he was saved from Pharaoh- and the Prophet ( ) reiterated the need for this celebration,
then surely we should celebrate the night in which the Prophet ( ) saw and spoke with his Lord
and was granted the Salat (prayer).

Sayyidinah Rasulullah ( ) was reported to have said that fasts of the month of Rajab have very
great excellence. Whosoever keeps fast on the 27
th
of Rajab, he will be blessed with much
reward and by the virtue of this fast will be safe from the punishment of the grave and the
torment of the Fire.

Here are some ahadith citing the special merit of fasting and ibadat during the 27
th
of Rajab from
al-Ghunya li Talibi Tariqal Haq Volume III written by Shaykh Abdul Qadr Jilani (RadiAllahu
Anhu):

If someone keeps the fast on the twenty-seventh day of Rajab, he will be credited with
the same reward as that which is earned by fasting for sixty months.
It is narrated from Hadrat Hasan al Basri (RadiAllahu Anhu) that, Whenever the
twenty-seventh of Rajab came around, Abdullah ibn Abbas (RadiAllahu Anhu) would
start the day as a mutakif (one who follows the practice of itikaaf, meaning withdrawal
into a state of seclusion in order to concentrate on religious devotions, especially while
fasting). He would devote the whole morning to prayer, up to and including the
obligatory ritual prayer at noon (Zuhr). After performing the noon prayer, he would stroll
about for a little while to stretch his legs, then he would perform an extra salaat (prayer)
consisting of four cycles. In each cycle (raka) he would recite Praise be to Allah
(Surah al-Fatiha) one time only, then the Two Pleas for Divine Refuge (al-
Muawwidhatan- Surahs 113 and 114), also one time only, then the Surah that begins with
Behold, We sent it down on the Night of Power (Surah 97) three times, and the Surah
that begins with Say: He is Allah, One (Surah 112) fifty times. He would then devote
himself to continuous supplication (dua), until it was time to perform the obligatory late-
afternoon prayer (salat ul Asr). This, he used to say, is exactly what Allahs Messenger
( ) always did on this particular day.
Sayyidinah Rasulullah ( ) is once said: Rajab contains a very special day and a very
special night. If someone fasts during that day, and keeps vigil throughout the night, he
will be entitled to a reward like the one that would be earned by a person who fasted for a
hundred years, and who kept vigil throughout all the nights in that period (the reference
being to the twenty-seventh of Rajab).

Account of Isra wal Miraj- from Muwasala

What follows is a summary of several lectures delivered by Sayyid al-abb `Umar bin Haf
(may Allh preserve him and benefit us by him) on the topic of the Isr (Night Journey) and
Mi`rj (Ascension). There are some additions for extra clarity.
We are approaching the night on which the Islamic world traditionally celebrates the Isr (Night
Journey) and Mi`rj (Ascension) of our Prophet, the Chosen One ( ). The Isr and Mi`rj was
a great sign and an immense miracle which Allah gave to the Master of the people of the heavens
and the earth, to demonstrate his superiority over mankind, jinn-kind, angels and the whole of
creation. There are great lessons in the events that took place and a means of increasing in belief
and certitude. The scholars say that the best night in relation to the Ummah as a whole was the
night on which the Prophet was born, whereas the best night in relation to the Prophet himself
was the night of the Isr and Mi`rj.
Prior to this night the Prophet had displayed great patience in the face of hardship and it is one of
Allahs wisdoms that He bestows His gifts accompanied with hardships. Allah says: They
encountered suffering and adversity and were shaken such that the Messenger and those of
faith who were with him said: When will Allahs assistance come? Truly Allahs assistance
is always near.[1] At the end of his life, the Messenger of Allah said that the worst treatment that
he received from the disbelievers was his violent rejection at the hands of the people of al-if.
Most of the scholars of the Srah say that that the Isr and Mi`rj took place shortly after this, a
year prior to the Hijrah on the 27
th
night of the month of Rajab.[2]
The Prophet ( ) saw some of the events of the Isr and Mi`rj in his dreams as a preparation
for them before the events actually occurred. Some people claim that all the events of the Isr
and Mi`rj took place in a dream state but this is not the case: the Prophet experienced them with
his body and soul. Had the Isr been merely something the Prophet experienced in his dream,
the disbelievers of Quraysh would not have had difficulty accepting it. They would not have
asked: How can you have travelled to Jerusalem last night and be with us in Makkah this
morning?
Allh says: Transcendent is the One Who caused His slave to travel by night from al-Masjid
al-arm to al-Masjid al-Aq.[3] Allh tends to express His transcendence before mentioning
a great affair which is beyond what people are accustomed to.
When Allh wished to speak to Sayyidun Ms, He told him to wait thirty days and then a
further ten days: We appointed for Ms thirty nights and we completed (the period) with ten
more.[4]Allh, however, did not tell His Beloved to wait. Rather His order came suddenly,
without any warning. The Prophets chest was split open and his heart was washed and filled
with knowledge and forbearance. The Burq was then brought to him. Allh could have caused
him to travel without the Burq, but it was a means of honouring and ennobling him. Jibrl said
to the Burq after some initial obstinacy: Are you not ashamed, O Burq? By Allh, no one
more noble in the sight of Allh has ever ridden you!
5

QadriInstitute.com|SunniAhleBaytSociety|Jilani.org|AhleBayt.net

The Prophet ( ) stopped in a number of places on the Isr to emphasize the importance of
visiting the places in which Allah bestowed His bounties upon His pious slaves. He was ordered
to seek to draw close to Allah by praying near the tree where Allah spoke to Ms, by praying at
Mount r, where Allah gave revelation to Ms, and at Bayt Lam, where s was born. The
whole earth was made a place of prayer and prostration for the Prophet so what was the
significance of him praying in those places if it was not seeking blessings (tabarruk) and
spiritual assistance from them? It is also narrated in Sa Muslim that he visited the grave of
Ms and witnessed him praying in his grave. He said to his Companions: If I was there I
would have showed you his grave. He was thus teaching his Ummah the importance of knowing
the location of the graves of the Prophets and thus the importance of visiting them.
While on his journey, someone called him on his right side but he did not respond. Jibrl
informed him that this was the caller of the Jews, and had he responded, his Ummah would have
followed the way of the Jews. Then someone called him on his left side and once again he did
not respond. Jibrl informed him that this was the caller of the Christians, and had he responded,
his Ummah would have followed the way of the Christians. Thus, in spite of all the efforts of the
Christians to convert people to Christianity, the Ummah remains in Allhs care and protection
due to the steadfastness of the Prophet ( ).
He was called a third time, and once again he did not respond. Jibrl informed him that it was the
duny or the material world calling him, and had he responded, his Ummah would have chosen
this life over the next. The duny then appeared to him in the form of an old woman. Jibrl
informed him that all that remained of the life of this world before the Day of Judgement is like
the time this old woman had left to live. We witness all the wars and struggles that take place and
in reality this life is like an old woman on the verge of death and ahead of us is the next life! May
Allh give us the best of endings! Due to the Prophets refusal to respond to the callings of the
duny, there remain to this day people who know its worthlessness.
The Messenger of Allh ( ) led the Prophets in prayer in al-Masjid al-Aq. Jibrl informed
him that the soul of every prophet sent by Allh from the time of dam to the time of s was
brought to pray behind him so that they would come to know the station of their master,
Muammad. He was the imm who led all the prophets and angels in prayer. Why do we not
make him our imm?
The Prophet ( ) then ascended from heaven to heaven. The angels in the heavens had been
informed that he would come and it was their opportunity to be honoured by meeting him just as
his Companions had that honour on the earth. The people of the earth threw stones at him and
insulted him but the people of the heavens gave him the warmest of welcomes. In the Prophets
meeting with his father dam and the other Prophets in the various heavens there is a lesson. In
spite of the Prophets superiority over them, he was still ordered to greet them. There was no-one
less in need of anyone else than him but he met them and displayed great etiquette and
manifested his slave-hood to his Lord.
Among the things he witnessed was people who turned down freshly cooked meat and chose to
eat putrid rotting meat. He was told that this was like those who leave that which is lawful and
choose that which is unlawful. He saw peoples heads being smashed with rocks. As soon as
6

QadriInstitute.com|SunniAhleBaytSociety|Jilani.org|AhleBayt.net

their heads were smashed they would be restored and then smashed again and so on. He was told
these were the people who were too lazy to pray the obligatory prayer.
He ascended to al-Bayt al-Ma`mr, which resembles the Ka`bah above the seventh heaven. It
lies directly above the Ka`bah, and every day 70,000 angels enter it. The Prophet entered it and
prayed in it, along with the spirits of some of the elect of Allah. Then he came to al-Sidrat al-
Muntah, a tree whose size and beauty is indescribable. Were one of its leaves to fall it would
cover the heavens and the earth. This is the end point of the knowledge of creation. It was here
that Jibrl stopped. He said that if he went any further, he would burn but he told the Prophet to
continue his journey alone. He duly ascended to the Throne of Allah and fell into prostration.
Ms had been ordered to remove his sandals when Allah spoke to him, but the Beloved was not
ordered to do so. Allah then ordered him to raise his head and he addressed Allah: Greetings,
blessings and the best of prayers to Allah.
Allah responded: Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy and blessings of Allah.
At this point, when Allah was manifesting Himself to him, the Prophet wished to remember the
pious members of his Ummah and the previous nations. He said: Peace be upon us and upon
Allahs pious slaves.
The angels of the heavens then cried out: We testify that there is no deity other than Allah and
that Muhammad is His slave and messenger.
When Allh spoke to him, He said: I have taken you as My beloved and I have expanded your
heart and raised high the esteem in which you are held so that whenever I am mentioned you are
mentioned with Me. I made your nation the best of nations and I made them the last and the first
on the Day of Judgement. I made you the first prophet to be created and the last to be sent.
Allh thus spoke gently to His Beloved and reminded him of His blessings upon him. He said
things to Him which only He knows.
He made fifty prayers compulsory on his nation. This was eventually reduced to five with the
reward of fifty. Are those who are unable to perform the five not ashamed of their Lord? What
would they have done if it was fifty prayers that they had to perform? Allh made five prayers
compulsory upon His slaves, in which there is the opportunity to converse with Allh and draw
close to Him. The closest the slave is to his Lord is when he is in prostration.
The Prophet was blessed with the vision of his Lord, a blessing which no-one else will receive
until they enter Paradise. The vision cannot be understood in a conventional way since Allah is
transcendent and cannot be limited to a place or direction. Some Muslims deny that the vision of
Allah is possible and we agree with them that the vision of Allah in a conventional sense is
impossible. However, we understand the vision of Allah to be something far greater than that, a
pure manifestation of Allahs light, which is indescribable.
Sayyidun Ms was keen to receive some of the light that was on the face of the Prophet who
himself had just seen his Lord. Ms had asked to see Allah while on the earth but his request
was not granted. He thus took as much light as he could from the Prophets face. The Prophet
7

QadriInstitute.com|SunniAhleBaytSociety|Jilani.org|AhleBayt.net

informed us that there will come a time when the Muslims will seek victory through people who
had seen him, and later through people who have seen people who have seen him.[5] This shows
us that secrets are transmitted through the vision of peoples faces.
The Messenger of Allah ( ) remained firm while witnessing all the things that he witnessed:
His vision did not stray, nor did it go wrong[6]; His heart did not lie about what it saw, for
truly did he see, of the signs of his Lord, the greatest.[7]
All of this took place in a few instants. So little time had elapsed that the place where he had
been sleeping was still warm. All of these are amazing examples of divine power. We are so
accustomed to the pattern of cause and effect and the laws of creation that we tend to forget the
presence of divine power in everything. In reality the things which we regard to be normal are
miraculous our sitting and standing, our eating and drinking. Allah says: Do you see the water
which you drink? Did you bring it down from the clouds or did We?[8]
May Allah bestow prayers upon the one who made this awesome journey and may He resurrect
us with him. Make us among those who are truthful in their following of him. Do not deprive us
of the vision of him in this life, the Barzakh and the next life. Allow us to see the face of the one
who You allowed to see Your countenance so that we are ready to see Your countenance in the
abode of Your pleasure.

Beautiful Poetry Written By Mujadid Ala Hazrat Ahmed Khan

Qasida-e-Miraj - The Ode of the Ascension by Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmad Raza Khan
translation below:

When the Chieftain of the land of Prophethood ascended to the Divine Throne
New and novel instruments of merriment were laid before the guest from Arabia.

Congratulations to the springtime, felicitations to the garden!
Angels, the Empyrean, in their own style, repeated this song of the nightingales!

There in the heavens, here on Earth, there was joy and commotion
From there lights descended, laughing, from here buds of fragrance, ascended!

A single flash from his face sent moonlight radiating up to the Throne
How brilliantly that night shone, as if reflecting mirrors were scattered everywhere.

The Ka'aba was, in its loveliness, bedecked like a new bride
The Black Stone, alone, glistened in a thousand hues, a mole adorning the Ka'aba's side.

On catching a glimpse of the beloved Bridegroom, the niche lowered its head from bashfulness,
A veil was created when light from his countenance fell upon the face of the black covering.

Clouds of joy came abounding, hearts danced like peacocks aflutter.
It was a moment of divine favor, the Holy Mosque itself was in ecstasy!

The golden funnel swayed like a bridal ornament, moving from head to ear
A sudden shower sent raindrops scattering pearl-like into the Hateem's lap

The brides clothes were intoxicated from the bride's fragrance; the breeze from the corners of
her veil
As the musk-scented curtain furled in the wind, musk deer rushed forward to fill their musk
pods.

The beauty of the mountains, the high peaks, what pride and grandeur!
The mountains verdure fluttered in the morning breeze, grass swaying like a bridal headscarf.

Streams bathed and dressed themselves anew in robes of flowing water,
Waves rose, streams twisted and turned, glistening bubbles, waterfalls.

The old one was black and blue, stained, the silver floor was lifted up
Weaving together threads of light from countless angelic eyes a novel floor of brocade was laid.

May we be sacrificed for him as motes of dust, where now can we find that traveler?
Where our hearts, the eyes of the houris, wings of the angels, were spread.

9

QadriInstitute.com|SunniAhleBaytSociety|Jilani.org|AhleBayt.net

May God alone give you forbearance O' sorrowful soul, how can I show you that occasion?
When, surrounding him, the angelic host were parading him as the Bridegroom of Paradise.

The radiant light falling from his countenance was distributed as charity
For the Moon and Sun were fervently begging for these alms from his brow!

It is that which is glittering till this day, that radiance alone which is sparkling:
The water the stars collected in jars as it fell from him when he bathed!

The leftover water when he washed his feet was used to decorate Paradise
The flowers which gathered the Bridegrooms splashes of water were from a garden of light.

The news from the Sun as it traversed the Heavens was that such an auspicious occasion would
come again:
For the Prophet had put on a heavenly shirt and had outgrown his earthly attire.

The diadem of Divine Theophany on his head, a shower of blessings and salutations;
On either side stood angels, wings spread, in order to salute him as he passed.

If I too had been there, O' dust from the rose garden, Id take some wash-water from his feet
Alas! What can I do? These days of ill fortune were written in my Fate!

He had hardly mounted the saddle that he was given tidings of forgiveness
Intercession cried out, Congratulations! , sins were dancing in ecstasy.

The startling of his steed was not strange, nor its trembling like a frightened doe.
Rays of light were dancing all around, lightning flashed near its eyes.

Full of hope a multitude has gathered, lessen it, tell him your desires and move on.
Whilst holding onto the reins of etiquette, such a commotion was amongst the angels.

When the dust from his radiant path arose, such light fell that
Clouds gathered, both land and sea were full, jungles overflowed to the point of bursting.

What ill luck, how foolish was the Moon, the dust from his path
She didnt gather and rub on herself. All wouldve seen her markings disappear!

May I be sacrificed for the hoove prints of the Buraq! Such flowers it spread that all along its
way;
Fragrant gardens, glittering bowers, fresh and verdant, were blooming.

The secret behind the prayer at al-Aqsa was that the meaning of First and Last be known:
For standing, with folded hands, behind him in prayer were those who reigned in earlier times!

This was all due to the awe induced by his arrival, everything was made to look its best
Stars and skies, wine and goblets, were being polished, cleaned!
10

QadriInstitute.com|SunniAhleBaytSociety|Jilani.org|AhleBayt.net

When that Radiant Sun removed his veil, the majesty of his face was at its zenith:
The skies became feverish from terror, the stars got blisters which burst and fell!

Such was the effect of this brilliant light that pearly water shone as the moon,
The stars, they slipped time and again from their rows and fell at his feet!

The Ocean of Unity surged forward in such a manner, all signs of Diversity were extinguished.
What is the reality of the celestial dunes when the Divine Throne and Footstool appeared as two
bubbles?

That Shadow of Mercy, those flashes of his face that made the stars unable to hide nor show
themselves!
Golden brocade or purple satin, in comparison were pieces of cloth, of shade and sunlight.

That cypress of the flower-garden moved forward with stately grace, not even the Lote Tree
could halt his pace
The Lote Tree was left blinking its eyes for he had left 'how and why' well behind.

A flash appeared to the angels, other than that they felt not even the wind of his robes
The Bridegroom's steed reached far away, the bridal procession had lost its mind!

Gabriels arms felt tired, he let go of the Prophets robe, what a scene:
The reins fell from his hands, his hopes were dashed, his desire-filled eyes full of fervor!

Whoever thought about the speed of his journey a bubble burst in his brain
In the jungle of the Intellect a flower glittered, in every world trees were aflame.

In this radiance when the Birds of Rationality tried to fly, they fell to the ground in disgrace.
They remained behind at the Lote Tree, tired, out of breath, exhausted!

The wings of the Birds of the Imagination were stronger yet, and tried to fly further a mere step
Such a blow did they receive that they spat out the Blood of Possibilities and fell!

Then the Divine Throne heard a cry, Congratulations! Those feet
Which wear a crown have come again which previously were thy crown of honor!

Upon hearing this it called out, May I be sacrificed! Where is the Master? I again
Wish to kiss his feet, my eyes good fortune has returned again!

The Most High Throne bowed low in a dance of ecstasy, the Heavenly host fell in prostration
It was rubbing its eyes on his feet, they encircled him, enamored!

His radiance illuminated the Throne in such a manner, that all the lights flickered.
How could they shine in the presence of this Sun, the lamps looked astonished!

At that moment a messenger of mercy brought this news, Lets go, Your Presence,
Those paths which were closed for Moses have been opened up for you!

Go forth O Muhammad, come hither O Ahmad, closer O chief of the glorious!
May I be sacrificed what a cry this was, what a moment, what joyousness!

Blessed be Your Glory O Allah, You alone are without want, doing as You please!
Sometimes the command is, You may not see Me!, at others the desire is for Union!

Tell the Intellect to lower its head, the Traveler traveled beyond the reach of Possibility
Here, Direction itself is directionless, whom can it tell wither he went?

There was no sign of 'this' or 'that', no trace of 'how?' and 'why?'
There was no guide, no companion, no milestone, nor any halting place!

From there came successive urges to come nearer, here difficulty in stepping forward
Majesty and Awe held him back, Beauty and Mercy drove him closer.

He stepped forward but slowly, fearful, bowed low from shame, haltingly out of respect;
It was a journey of a million stages if it were measured in the respectful manner he moved.

But his going forward was in name only, in reality it was an Act of the Divine Will.
He advanced further from all those 'who were descended' in a manner related to the command,
'come closer!'

It happened at last that a barge emerged from the billowing Ocean of Hu!
Which took the Prophet into the lap of 'danaa' (closer) and raised the anchors of 'fanaa'
(annihilation in the Divine)

How can anyone know the shore where it docked? Where it went and where he alighted?
When it sailed at full speed, like eyesight, he became hidden from his own eyes!

When the veils of, 'Two bow lengths or less' were lifted, what more can anyone say?
There, there is no place for duality yet do not say the Prophet was not present, indeed he was!

That garden blossomed in such a manner that it removed the difference between bud and flower,
In the buds of petals whole gardens bloomed, yet the flowers themselves were still buds.

It became difficult to tell apart the center of the circle from its circumference; similarly the
distance between two joined lines.
Arcs bowed their heads in astonishment, circles were in a dazed state!

A million curtains there were between the lifting of His veil, between each curtain millions of
radiant veils of light!
A wondrous sight it was indeed when Union and Separation embraced as if separated from birth!
12

QadriInstitute.com|SunniAhleBaytSociety|Jilani.org|AhleBayt.net

Showing their parched tongues the waves were restless to find water,
The whirlpool was so weak from thirst it had circles beneath its eyes!

He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Hidden and the Manifest
It was His light which went to meet Him, from Himself towards Himself!

Oh false points on the arc of possibility who are still arguing over First and Last
Ask the curvature of the circumference from where it starts and where it ends?

Here were gifted to the King, prayers, there, kingly rewards he received!
Garlands of salutations and mercy were placed around the neck of light!

The tongue was waiting to speak and the ears were hoping to hear!
Here, whatever he wished to say, he said; whatever he wished to hear, he heard!

Then that full moon of Medina was taken on a tour of Paradise
Was the star of heaven at full brightness or was the radiance due to the feet of this Moon?

Such was the exhilaration at his arrival that from the flashes of this Arabian Moon
The gardens of Paradise became lustrous and all the heavenly flowers transformed into lotuses!

Such bliss in this merriment that he swayed, yet such good etiquette he did not move!
He was still struggling between these opposites when he found himself beneath the saplings of
Iram

Glory be to the power of God that the Moon of Truth after shining at a billion places
Arrived back in the early morning yet the shadow of the stars had not lengthened one bit!

O' Prophet of Mercy, Intercessor for his Community, by God, bestow your blessings on Raza!
Give him a small share from those special gifts which were distributed during this journey!

Praise of the Prophet is my only litany, my hope is only that he will accept it!
I have no such desire for poetry, nor do I care about my poetic refrains!

Peace and blessings on all of you- our brothers and sisters.
Peace and blessings upon our Master Muhammad and his holy family and companions.
And all praise be to Him- our Lord Almighty.
