Dissertation Title: The Antecedents and Consequences of Socio-Cultural Adjustment

Brief Synopsis of Research:
Higher education has become a global market which generates huge profits. Malaysia has
attracted the attention of foreign students to study in Malaysia. However, there is lacking of
research regarding the life satisfaction of the foreign students. This study examined the
antecedents and consequence of Socio-Cultural Adjustments. This paper explore whether
the foreign students were able to emotionally adapt in University Putra Malaysia (UPM). The
study also explores the relationship between Socio-Cultural Adjustment with the CGPA
results and the life satisfaction. The data were obtained through questionnaires. 109
students have answered the questionnaires and only 103 were used in this study. The study
reveals that foreign students who are Emotionally Intelligence in terms of optimism and
mood evaluation were able to adjust in UPM and have happier life

Microsoft excel to produce documentation data especially preparing and collecting
the students information. Maintain and update the organisations website. Ordering
the organisations materials and equipment. Storing and organising the organisations
paperwork. Photocopying and printing documents for the organisation

2013 (1 month): University Putra Malaysia

Enumerator: Collecting data from various responses by writing up the samples
responses towards the researchs question. Making power point slides. Attend
meeting to discuss regarding the research.
