INTRODUCTION
I love exploring the world, especially those places that I have never been to. Meeting
different people and tasting all different kind of food is the most fantastic experience
ever! However, when I was told that there are many blind people who cannot even
manage to go for a walk can only stay at home and trap in the darkness for their
whole life. I was so angry and decided to help them out of this sadness. Also, telling
them being blind is definitely not an excuse for staying away from the world and
locking yourself at the corner!

3. BUSINESS SECTION
3.1 Vision

3.2 Industry Analysis: GPS Walking Stick Industry

Force: High/Low: Justification:
Buyer power: Low For each blind person, they need a stick if
they want to go out. Because the amount
for each customer to purchase is small,

features and it is easy and convenient for customers to use.
3.3 Customers and Their Needs
This multi-functional walking stick is designed mainly for blind people and some of
the elders. Because without eyesight, blind people cannot see, therefore, they need
a stick that could guide them and lead them safely to the places that they want to go.
And the stick should be easy and convenient to use. For those old people, due to the
degradation of their bones, they may feel tired if they walk a longer distance, as a
result they may also need a walking stick to support them.
3.4 The Product and Service
Because a GPS sim-card is installed in every walking stick, therefore, even though
blind people they cannot see, as long as they tell the walking stick the destination,
the stick will lead them to the right places. There are many sensitive motion
detectors inside, all of them have different functions, i.e., some of them is designed
for detecting the traffic light, when the light turns red, it will inform the holder by
vibrating and so on. Thus, blind people can feel the street conditions as normal
people, they can feel free to go everywhere. And for the olds, because the body part
of the stick is made of carbon steel tube, it can prop up heavier weights and the net
weight of the stick stays light. It is a multi-functional stick using high-tech features, so
that it is easy and convenient for people to use.
3.5 Suppliers and Partners
For our GPS walking stick, suppliers are those companies that provide us with the
material for making the stick. The rolled steel company provides the carbon steel,
which is processed into a larger hardness tube for the body part of the stick. For the
Electronics Corporation, they provide us with the electronic detectors and the
bluetooth headphones.

For the GPS sim-card, we cooperate with some IT companies. Because it requires a
higher cost and takes time to develop such a program, therefore, we choose to be in
partnership with them to reduce the cost.
3.6 Strategy: Multi-functional GPS walking stick
Because blind people cannot see, it is hard for them to deal with the complexity.
Therefore, our aim is to provide them a simple but helpful way to access their
dreams Multi-functional stick. The stick has several functions, and is easy to control,
once blind people hold it in hands, and say a place, it will automatically work!
Furthermore, it assimilates solar power to charge itself, which is a low carbon and
safe product. (Most of the customers are blind, and it has new features, therefore,
our strategy is Focused High Cost).
The overall strategy is therefore Multi-functional GPS and low carbon walking stick.
3.7: Value Chain Activity: Technology and development (and R&D).
The most important value chain activity for this business is Technology and
development (and R&D).

Our strategy is Focused High Cost. Due to the narrow market, our company need to
focus on technology to create new features on the sticks to create our competitive
advantage. We use technology to differentiate our product from others. The most
important part of the stick is the GPS sim-card, whereas without technology, it
cannot even be imagined. For those motion detectors inside the stick, they all
require technology to support.
Therefore, the most important value chain activity is Technology and development
(and R&D).
3.8: Business Processes
3.8.1. GPS Sim-card PROCESS GPS sim-card. GPS sim-card is the core of the whole
walking stick and it is also the most competitive advantage compared to other
companies. Furthermore, most of customers are blind people, they need the walking
stick almost all the time, which is part of their lives. Therefore, the product must be
trustworthy with good quality. It is why we need to test the stick for so many times to
make sure to provide the best quality for them.

of a significant part of the stick. They added value to our stick, which made our stick
more useful and convenient to use.

3.10.1. GPS Systems Because blind people cannot see, they have a weak sense of
direction. As a result, it is easy for them to get lost. GPS provides the exact locate for
both blind people and other people, therefore, it is easy for blind people to go out
and easy for people to find them.

3.10.2. Detector Systems All the detectors inside the body stick have different
functions. They need to perform their individual work as well as collaborate with the
whole stick that is from detecting to inform the holder.

3.10.3. Assemble Systems Only a single part of the element might not be useful, but
when many of them are assembled together to support a new system, it is powerful.
It is the same as the walking stick, which is made up of many tiny parts to become a
multi-functional new product.
