The First Working Telephone
March 10, 1876.
Invented By: Alexander Graham Bell.
He had the phone in exhibit in Philadelphia and it got
attention from people inside and outside of the country. The
phone the itself helped many by making it easier to
communicate over huge distances. The importance of it was
that it helped people communicate faster and easier.
The First American Flag
Created By: Betsy Ross, and George Washington
Date: May 1776
George Washington, Robert Morris, George Ross asked Betsy Ross to sew the first
flag. The meeting occurred in her name sometime in may 1776. George
Washington was then the head of the continental army. On June 14, 1777 the
continental congress, adopted the National Flag.

Andrew Jackson
Date: 1831-1840
Native Americans suffered most from Andrew Jacksons
vision of America. Jackson pursued a policy of removing
Indian tribes from their ancestral lands. About 20,000
Cherokees were marched westward at gunpoint. Nearly a
quarter perished on the way. The rest was to seek survival in

Electoral Dispute of 1876
Rutherford B. Hayes vs. Samuel J. Tilden
Ulysses S. Grant administrations, 1869-77, The disputed
election strengthened Hayess intention to work with
southern whites. Tilden had 184 electoral votes and needed
185 to win, Hayes had 165. Hayes ended up winning.
Cotton Gin
Made by Eli Whitney in 1779.
Its was a machine that separated the
cotton fibers from the seeds. After
removing the fibers, they are used to
make clothing and cloths.

It importance was that you could do a lot
more and do things faster with a
machine than manpower. Causes people
to invest in machinery to get more done.
Colt Revolving Rifle
Made in:1855

Its a gun that was design to fire like a revolver
but still be a rifle. Its main purpose of the gun
was to speed up the fire rate but keep the long
range accuracy of a rifle.

Importance was the design of a weapon the can
do a lot more damage in a small amount of time.

Morse Code
Made by: Samuel F. B. Morse, Joseph Henry, and Alfred
Vail
In:1836

It was a method of transmitting text as a series of on-off
tones, lights, or clicks. With this code many people
could communicate over pond distances. Mostly the
military used this to get messages around instead of
having a messenger.

Importance: it was the first phone at the time. That help
many people communicate fast. Used also to keep
secret messages a secret because of its codes.
