Bit Rate

The rate at which bits are transmitted over a

communication path. Normally expressed in bits per
second (bps). The bit rate should not be confused with
the data signaling rate (baud), which measures the rate
of a signal changes being transmitted.

rate at which data is transmitted or processed. The
higher the bit rate, the more data that is processed
and, typically, the higher the picture resolution.

#point#. 7t is 1uantified using the bit per second (bit!s)
unit.
