F&N DAIRIES (M) SDN BHD
Almost every Malaysian has had a taste of F&N while growing up. Be it the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk,
pasteurised milk, U! milk, "uice and ice cream. #ecently, we added in yogurt and yogurt drinks. And as Malaysia grew, so
did the company now known as F&N $airies %Malaysia& 'dn Bhd.
F&N(s dairy )usiness grew out of a "oint venture with Beatrice Foods of *hicago, U'A in +,-, with the construction of
'outheast Asia.s first sweetened condensed milk plant in /etaling 0aya, Malaysia. !he *arnation *ompany, also from the
U', "oined the partnership in +,1- to form /remier Milk as the manufacturing arm. !his partnership proved enterprising as
within that year, the highly successful 2vaporated Milk was launched.
Not a company to rest on their laurels, the 3roup constantly seeks product innovation and invention, which resulted in
more products added to their admira)le )usiness portfolio.
4n a strategic move in the market arena, the 3roup em)arked on its first step toward a successful "ourney into the ice
cream )usiness.
4n +,5,, the 3roup ac6uired the interests of Beatrice Foods and restructured its dairy operations under F&N $airies
%Malaysia& 'dn Bhd. 4t was e7panded further )y ac6uiring Magnolia in +,,-.
4n +,,5, the 3roup commenced their pasteurised )usiness.
4n 8995, F&N $airies launched a:4;2, its new lifestyle F&B )rand consisting of yoghurt, snack )ars and cereal.
F&N $airies Malaysia continued to gain momentum for the financial year ending 'eptem)er 8995, surpassing for the first
time the #M+ )illion mark to post revenue of #M+.9, )illion < a 8= per cent growth over last year(s #M558 million.

in the marketplace. !his can )e further attri)uted to the consolidation of the Nestle )usiness into the overall dairies
operation, resulting in more effective trade offers and efficient logistics costs and the alignment of manufacturing
capa)ilities )etween Malaysia and !hailand.
A large part of this successful year is due to the )usiness( continued emphasis on a culture of @27ecution with a $ifference@
that focused on a seamless link of three core elements < people, strategy and processes.
