Samy answered 6 years ago It's a virus all right. So you mean, how are you going to remove it? There are two things you can do. 1. Open the command prompt. (Start Menu-> run-> type 'cmd' in the run box) - Navigate to the Peddrive. For example, if it is drive F, then in the command p rompt, type F: and hit enter. Now, you are in the pendrive. Now change the attributes of the fi les. Type, attrib -s -h -a -r * Note that the star(*) means all the files. You can select different files by typ ing the first letter of the file or folder and then press "tab" it will show the full file name. Anyway, when the attributes are set, now go to the pendrive, and you can see you r files in there. Now in that, search for suspicious files. the "autorun.inf" must be a virus, and if there is any program, that you did not put in your pendrive, remove it immediately. It must be a virus. After removing the two, immediately, pull out the pendrive from the computer, and put it back after sometime. Your pendrive is now virus free.......... unless you have virus in your computer . In that case, you have to clean your PC first. 2. Go to your friend's PC, where you can see all the files. Remove the 'hidden' attribute by right clicking and selecting properties. Delete any "autorun.inf" file and any program in the pendrive, which you are not aware of/ 6 Comment Other Answers (9)Rated Highest

Rim jhim answered 5 months ago My dear, the best solution is it that you just try to download WINRAR software f rom web than install it than open your flash drive path in winrar means if your drive is f than open F drive in winrar after that you can see all your files in it, what you want just try to copy in your system than after that format your fl ash drive than again copy your files back in your flash drive it will be ok, no antivirus can help you to scan flash drive or erase this virus 2 Comment (1)

Edric answered 6 years ago Well it could possibly be a virus that is causing this. Try scanning with AVG an d Spybot. Also go here http://www.malwarebytes.org/ and download malwarebytes' a nti malware and run a full scan on it and see what you come up with. If it's not a virus, or even if it was and everything is still hidden, the first and most obvious step is to make sure you've got your computer set to show hidd en files and folders in the Folder Options control panel. Then, go to start > run and type in cmd to get a command line. Go to your drive. For example if this is your e drive, type in e: do dir /a:h and see if your folders come up You'll probably see them then.... The next step is to do: attrib -s -h -r name of folder/file For example: attrib -s -h -r hiddenfile.txt or attrib -s -h -r hiddenfolder This will remove system, hidden, and read-only attributes from files or folders you run the command on. I hope this helps, I'm really rusty on command line stuf f but this worked for me on some particular issues I've had. :) edit- you may have to do this for subdirectories and files within them to get th em to display, I'm not exactly sure on this. after you get a directory in the root of the drive to show, cd to it (example if you want to go into the "music" folder put cd music) and do a dir command, if y ou know there's files in there but they don't show up, try dir /a:h again to lis t what's hidden, and use the commands I showed you earlier to re-attribute them one by one. 2 Comment (1)
