REFLECTION:
The lesson was done with all the pupils, Muslim and non-Muslim students. At first, the Muslim
students were confused and said that Moral Education is not the subject for them but the Islamic
Education is. After being explained and briefed, they finally understand the importance of Moral
Education to be decent human.
At the first stage of the lesson, pupils participation was starting to build up as they found
that the topic has the connection to their daily life. The students were very cooperative and they
were involved actively in the activities. Some of them were eager to talk about their family as this
lesson was as a part of their life. They enjoy participating in the discussion as their previous
knowledge was based on their family at home.
During the second and third stages of the lesson, pupils were giving their full cooperation
completing the group and pair tasks. They showed no problem in working with peers and were
actively contributing. In fact, some of them have the potential of being a good leader as they
managed to control the groups.
In terms of weaknesses, this lesson was probably missing its attractiveness as the result of
the lack of interesting teaching aids. The interaction created was only between teachers and
students but not between students and teaching resources. In the future, it is better for me to plan
well with taking into consideration using all the authentic material in lesson to make it more
meaningful.
As the conclusion, the Moral Education is a core subject in building pupils personality to
prepare them for the challenges in the future. It is hoped that with its syllabus, morality among
student especially young children can be developed. Lastly for this lesson, I found that it is important
to create a lesson that involved the life of students in hope that it could change their life and
perspectives.
