Designed and implemented a Math Response to Intervention group in which data was kept and
student progress was tracked and appropriate remediation activities were completed.
Created a science unit based on students inquiries about the human body and provided hands-on
learning experiences for students to create models and carry out experiments.
Connected readings with authentic experiences for students, including a trip to a local fire
department and cooking activities, and incorporating an ant farm in the classroom.

Produced the opportunity for students to explore different religious concepts through drama.
Helped students to create authentic connections with writing concepts such as generalizations,
antonyms, and main ideas.

Designed a social studies unit based on students inquiries in the history of the medical field in
Dubuque, Iowa.
Provided students with the opportunity to explore the Center of Dubuque History to aid in
understanding of the importance of first hand sources.
Lead students on a tour of important Dubuque historical sites.

WORK Carol Stream Park District Summer Camp Counselor (May 2013- Present)
Worked with a team of counselors to create activities for a group of 130 students.
Differentiated activities to meet the needs of students from kindergarten to fifth grade.

Provided homework assistance to students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade.
Designed and facilitated different centers for students to travel through including arts and crafts,
Legos and block building, and card games.

Lead a committee of students and delegated tasks and responsibilities.
