The Beginning Decisions Good Things Bumps n Slumps
Congratulations! Today is your day.
Youre off to great places, youre off and
away. You have brains in your head, you
have feet in your shoes. You can steer
yourself any direction you choose.
The Beginning is full of activities, games,
crafts and more all related to travel,
while sprinkled with Seussiness.
Youll look up and down streets.
Lookem over with care. About some you
will say, I dont choose to go there.
With your head full of brains and your
shoes full of feet, youre too smart to go
down a not-so-good street. Campers
will learn about making choices, how
good choices are met with reward and
poor choices may have consequences
a tool they will need as they venture
through life.
And when things start to happen, dont
worry, dont stew, just go right along.
Youll start happening too...Wherever
you y, youll be best of the best. Wher-
ever you go, you will top all the rest.
Life is lled with good things
sometimes we have to stop and spend
time enjoying them.
This week is all about good things in life.
Its true that Bang-ups and Hang-ups
can happen to you. You can get all
hung up in a prickle-ly perch. And your
gang will y on, youll be left in a lurch.
Youll come down from the lurch with an
unpleasant bump and the chances are,
then, that youll be in a slump. Campers
will gain tools to guide them through the
slumps that will happen in their lives. All
while playing games, making crafts, and
making amazing memories.
WEEK 5: JULY 14 18 WEEK 6: JULY 21 25 WEEK 7: JULY 28 AUG 1 WEEK 8: AUGUST 4 8
Waiting Finding Bright Places The One & Only Resiliency
The waiting place...for people just wait-
ing...waiting for the sh to bite or wait-
ing for wind to y a kite...or a string of
pearls, or a pair of pants or a wig with
curls or Another Chance.
This week campers will need patience
to fnd out what the next great activity
will be...Shh dont tell them. They have to
wait and see.
Youll fnd the bright places where
boom bands are playing? With banner
fip-fapping, once more youll ride high!
Ready for anything under the sky. This
week well explore looking at the bright
side of things.
Im afraid that some times youll play
lonely games too...whether you like it
or not, alone will be something youll be
quite a lot. Being alone doesnt have to
be lonely. Campers will discover that
each one of them is an amazing indi-
vidual person. And when you like being
you, alone doesnt have to be lonely.
Step with care and great tact and
remember that Lifes a great balancing
act. Just never forget to be dexterous
and deft. And never mix up your right
foot with your left. Resiliency and
perseverance are the words of the
week. Campers will need both as they
conquer challenges and obstacles.
WEEK 9: AUGUST 11 15 WEEK 10: AUGUST 18 22 WEEK 11: AUGUST 25 29
Ups & Downs & Ups Again Outside the Box Get Movin and a Groovin!
And will you succeed? Yes! You will,
indeed! (98 and percent guaranteed).
Kid youll move mountains...today is your
day! Your mountain is waiting so get on
your way!
Its time to think outside the box. This
week will offer campers opportunities to
be creative and unconventional.
Its the last week of camp and were
winding down fast. Its time to get
movin and keep on groovin. We are
ending the summer in true 70s style.

YOUTH SWIM LESSONS
PRESCHOOL LESSONS
Turtle
Turtles class is the natural progression for children who have
participated in the Parent/Child classes. It is time for them to
leave their parent and become more independent in the water.
It is also perfect for young children who are taking lessons for
the rst time.
Pike
Pikes are still beginners but they are becoming increasingly
more independent. They are between being dependent on an
adult in the water and swimming in short bursts on their own.
Eel
Eels are similar to Pikes. However, they have gained strength
and endurance and can front paddle much farther with a more
refned technique. They can perform all tasks with better skills
and increased endurance.
Rays
Rays are becoming strong swimmers who are comfortable in a
water environment. They can swim longer distances without
foatation devices and are learning new stroke techniques.
Starsh
Starfsh are strong swimmers who will advance into the Guppy
progressive swim lessons when they turn six years old. They
are procient at front and back paddle, elementary back-
stroke, and they can tread water independently. They work on
improving their endurance and technique.
PROGRESSIVE LESSONS
Polliwog 1
Polliwog 1 classes are for those children who have either had
no experience in the water or very little. They need to learn
basic swimming skills and boost their condence in the water.
Polliwog 2
Polliwog 2 classes are for beginner swimmers who are gaining
condence and have built up some endurance.
Guppy
