around City Hall, Redmond Town Center, along the streets of Microsoft, near
local businesses, in your workplace, around churches, sports fields,
recreation sites, movie theatres, restaurants Check out the Redmond City
website for endless ideas and maps: www.redmond.gov

Who? Everyone! Walk on your own, with a few friends, with your family,
with co-workers, neighbors, and prayer partners.

Why? We are joining together with hundreds of other cities throughout the
Northwest praying for the love of Jesus to fill and transform our
communities. We are praying for the hearts of the people in our city to
experience the truth of the Gospel of Christ.

How? Prayer walking is intercessory prayer, praying on behalf of others, taking their
needs to God as if they were our own. As we focus on the needs of others, God
lets us see them with His heart and eyes!

1. Prepare your hearts:
Ask the Holy Spirit to examine your heart, confess and repent sin, receive
forgiveness; that you are ready to be prayerfully used by God.
Search me oh God and know my heart Psalm 139:23-24
2. Pray for protection:
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a
roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8
3. Pray Scripture:
Take along note cards of key verses; pray memorized scripture.
so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth: it shall not return to me
empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing
for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:11

4. Pray for awareness and inspiration from the Holy Spirit:
Who and what do you see and observe as you walk?
Pray out loud and silently as led.
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for
as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for
words. Romans 8:26
5. Pray with expectation:
Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and
whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and do
what pleases him. 1 John 3:21-22

Prayers for Believers:

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you
may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,
so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in
every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:9-10

and may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all,
as we do for you,

so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our
God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.
1 Thessalonians 3:12-13

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting
to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the
more as you see the Day drawing near. Hebrews 10:24-25
