The Body politic
While researching texts written and published about the body politic. I found out that the
textual meaning stretches further than explaining the definition to someone. I also read the book
the Life Of Pi and seen that the meaning of the body politic and the message the book was
trying to inform the reader was quite the same or in my case the way I felt, it had the same
concept when I read it.
Now most people of todays society cant even imagine or can explain the actual meaning
of the term body politic. When most people hear body politic the automatically assume that since
it has the term or word politic, that it can be considered as a collective of people under a single
government authority that affects humans in society or culture, Religious systems, Traditions,
And doctrines are a body politic that shapes the belief system of people or society. With this
being said id figure id do some more research and get more in depth into the topic to explain to
the public, Readers , And researchers on how I felt the body politic was so alike to this novel life
of pi.
Some of the body politic rules and plans are involved around religion. They also
affected his level of political engagements everything that people do all around will [Pg

matter if it is dealing with money or even the ways things were and are ran through the political
system. The society overall will affect the government in any type of way. We hope Americans
are not so sleepy as to vote in favor of hearing this tone of voice for four years[Pg 40]author
Yann Martel. David makes this statement to show how important it is for people to vote. The
people are the ones that have the power to change who they want to put in office by voting so
that someone is elected and placed in the white house. As most people know, you arent able to
live in the white house as a normal U,S Citizen. The white house plays a big role in body politics
by traditions or having to put religion in it some type of way In order to be officially elected in
order to be put in that particular position.
Education is very important in life, but also takes place in a major role in the book life of
pi ans actually takes the time to inform you or the reader how or why. After one year of high
school I attended the University of Toronto and took a double major bachelors degree. [Pg. 37]
Author Yann Martel. I feel like this part of the novel actually takes the time to show you that
you cannot achieve anything in life if you dont have any type of education in your book.
Basically you cant go anywhere or be successful in life with only having a limited amount of
education or knowledge with wanting to move forward in life. Education plays a big role in body
politics because the government runs off the gain of knowledge and education. The last eight
years have taught us all a substantial lesson. [Pg. 37] Author Yann Martel.
In life learnings all you can learn, no matter how long it takes you to learn , it will make
you achieve in life and it is seen and known to take you a long way. Education is important to
everyone, its up to them to be responsible enough to make sure they continue to gain knowledge
through the journey of life. Three toed sloth o beautiful example of the miracle of the live
reminded me of God. [Pg. 31] Author Yann Martel. In the life of Pi, Pi learns about nature and
relates to his religious learnings of new things, is a great way to make a person mentally
powerful. Now in everyday society people look at education and dont take it serious, but when
they realize they need education if they want to achieve something and be successful, then when
they finally realize it, it is too late to do anything because their age has increased and motivation
decreased. My majors were life religious studies and zoology. My four year thesis for religions
studies concerned certain aspects of the cosmogony. You can learn and practice and field that
you want to practice and try to achieve in body politics is all around the different fields of jobs to
study. I studied in Florence with protgs of Giorgio Morardi and learned traditional techniques
like fresco. You can go all over the country and learn just about anything that you want to learn
about. Education is really important and the most important to anybody.
Ive also noticed that work is and has an important role in the book life of of pre because
without work studies show that people did not get anything done in life and society. Pi makes
you think about how you are dealing with life and makes you want to live with a better feeling
then just hating it. Some emotions make you think of why you are doin certain things and wqhy
you feel a certain way with the current situation. You must take life the way it cames at you and
make the best of it.
With this being said on the body politic I fell like all this research showed me several
ways to look at the political system when certain situations occur, to react in a respectful manner
with also being aware of whats really going on at all times.
