Hello,
I am Phani teja. I got All I ndia Rank 40 in ECE GATE. May be-
2014, i'm not good at writing in a good english with an exact
grammar, however I can convey you my message in my own
words..

Initially,faculty of our college(Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engg.,
Visakhapatnam) motivated us right from second year, towards working in core
opportunities and towards GATE. They have shown keen interest in driving students
towards core by saying about the persons who succeeded in achieving the core
job,Mtech selection and their effort. So,right then, I made up my mind to get a good
rank in GATE and step into one of the good IITs or NITs. Then we spoke to bhaskara
rao sir in our college about GATE ,regarding how to start the work.He suggested us the
TIE GATE ACADEMY. Frankly speaking i'm not sound or atleast "ok" at basics till
we were taught at
institute, however with some hardwork before exams, I somehow managed to pass
semesters with good marks,but I believe "GATE AFTER ENGINEERING" sounded
me like an "EAMCET AFTER INTER" where in intermediate we were guided and
brushed towards EAMCET continuously by our lecturers, wheresas in engineering it's
may not be the same case of brushing, since it is a professional course and we have to
learn things by ourselves on our own interest. For the guidance and support on GATE,
i've opted TIE Engg. Academy, Visakhapatnam.

According to me, faculty in an institute should not only provide good coaching,but, also
they should provide us answers for some questions like why should we opt for GATE
exam?? what is background behind logical GATE problems?? How to do well in GATE
exam?! and many more such kind of questions, some of us even may not think before
joining(I'm one of them). Right in my 1st session they discussed these basic questions
and i'm happy atleast I came to know somebackground and foreground of GATE.

Actually, preparing to write GATE exam comprises not only preparation of syllabus,
but also involves the way paper will be set,accessing the level of confusion created in
students during exam,time management,question skipping and many more..We may
think these are silly questions,but those answers do really matter in future when you
have to take decisions wisely.
The way the faculty @TIE INSTITUTE taught was truely awesome.I really mean it and
even you will think of the same,if you are in sync with them "throughtout the class". All
of them gave excellent notes along with making us to practice sufficient example
problems parallelly to the respective concepts. I really make you cystal clear that no
institute completely spoon feeds you each and every problem discussing with you in the
class. They will show you some problems and solutions in class which are extremely
important models..you have to really work hard to know all kind of model questions
you will be asked in GATE by practising all previous questions on that respective
concept at your home and bring the doubts to the notice of your faculty. Their
encouragement depends on your interest towards their subject.
Each and every faculty completely changed my view on their respective subjects.There
is a transition that occured in my view on subjects with respect to engineering concepts
i've studied. Previously,I thought EDC was really tough and only some people like
milliman understood it. well,I was wrong! They made me crystal clear in all topics of
EDC syllabus for GATE right from basics of semiconductor materials. Not only in
EDC,but also in Communications, EMTL,cs,ss and all the subjects. I'm really happy the
time I completed my coaching from institute..i'm saying it by heart that, i got a feeling -
I learned something!
After all you have to make sure you not only depend upon your classnotes but also
practice as many "GATE previous problems" as possible.I mean as many ONLY
GATE PREVIOUS PROBLEMS, since they are standard problems which can be solved
very easily but involves a definite logic to do so,or else they will become a nightmare.I'm
really happy that I was joined in TIE GATE ACADEMY for GATE coaching. I really
believe the faculty deserves even much more better rank students than me, for their
wonderful effort. I always owe them..since they laid foundation in me

their GOALS..all the best!!
