Kevin: Did
somebody
encourage
you to
become a
principal?

Mr.Hendershot: Yes, when I was a
teacher my boss encouraged me to be a
principal.

Kevin: What part of being a principal do
you like and dont you like?

Mr.Hendeshot: I like everything. The thing
I like the most is I get to interact with the
students. I guess the only thing I dont
like is paper work.

Kevin: What top 2 sports are your
favorite?

Mr.Hendershot: My favorite sports to play
are golf and basketball. My favorite to
watch is football.

Kevin: What teams or players are your
favorite?

Mr.Hendershot: The Redskins of course!
My favorite player is RG3.

Kevin: How long have you been a
principal or another school worker?

Mr.Hendershot:I have been a principal for
2 years, a vice principal for 7 years and a
teacher for 8 years.

Mr.Hendershot: Two. I went to Carrollton
Elementary School thats where I was a
teacher and a vice principal before I
came here.

Kevin: What is your favorite things
outside of school?

MrHendershot: My family, I have 4
children. I spend a lot of time with them.
Also, I like to read.

Kevin: Do you have any pets? What are
their names? If you dont have any what
kind of pet will you get and what will you
name him or her?

Mr.Hendershot: I dont have any pets and
I probably wont get any pets because I
am allergic to cats and dogs. But, if I
could I would get a snake because it will
look cool and I will name him RG4 [RG4
comes from RG3 from the redskins.]

The 4
th
grade had a field trip come to
them from the Baltimore Museum of
Industry. The host, Mr. Mike, told us
about custom made cars, Henry Ford
cars and the assembly line. The custom
made cars were sold one customer at a
time because it took about 6 months to
make a custom made car. Henry Fords
cars were made with workers on an
assembly line and it took about 15
minutes to make 1 car. Assembly lines
have many stations where one person
adds on one of the parts over and over
again in order to make a device. The 4
th




graders learned a lot of things on their
field trip? Jan Lapira and Jeffrey
Zelaya, in 4
th
grade said, It was fun. I
hope our next field trip will be just as
fun.
