A MOTHERS PRAYER

Make me a wise mother, O Lord. Keep me calm and give me

patience to bear the small, irritating things in the daily routine of life.
Give me tolerance and understanding to bridge the gulf between my
generation and that of my children.
Let me not be too ready to guide my childrens stumbling feet, but
allow me to be ever near to bind their bruises. Give me a sense of
humor that I may laugh with them but never at them. Let me refrain
from preaching with words.
Keep me from forcing their confidences, but give me a sympathetic
ear when my children come to me. Make me humble. Keep my
children close to me, O Lord, though miles may separate us. And let
your light to shine upon me that they, too, will perceive your glory.
Amen! (Copied)

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY
NO P.M. SERVICE

We want to wish all Mothers a
Happy Mothers Day. To show our
appreciation for the important role
that mothers play in the family, we
have a gift for all mothers that are
present today. In order that you
may spend time with your
mothers, grandmothers and other
family members, there will not be
a P.M. Service today. Dont forget
to tell your mother how much you
love & appreciate her.

BENEVOLENCE FUND

The Benevolence Fund is a fund
to help people in need, especially
our church family. We helped in
the amount of $9,682.07 in the
year of 2013. Most of this was for
members of our church family that
had special needs. Already in
2014 we have given $2,716.00. As
you can see this has left our
Benevolence Fund almost empty.
If you feel that you would like to
help replenish this fund, please
make checks to the church with
notation for Benevolence Fund.
Thanks, Shirley Jones!

ANNOUNCEMENTS AND INFORMATION

April 8, 2012
Today, your child will learn that Moms sacrifice for us,
take care of our needs, and worry about us. No matter
what happens, they are always there for us. Moms
deserve our honor and our thanks on Mothers Day
and every day. Bottom Line: For all they do for us,
Moms deserve our honor and thanks every day of the
year. Thank You for supporting the Russellville Church
of God Childrens Ministries.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - JUNE 22- 27
The whole Robertson gang of Duck Dynasty loves the
parables that Jesus told in the Bible. Christ was a
powerful storyteller, and He knew how to get to the
heart and mind of a person with the stories He told!
Faith Commander VBS is filled with these stories of
Jesus as told through the modern-day exploits of
the Robertson family. Each day, children will have the
opportunity to learn more about these stories of Jesus
through music, games, arts and crafts, activities, and
more!
Note: If youre interested in helping, please attend
the VBS meeting next Sunday following the
morning service.

SOAP DEVO ON THE GO

S: Scripture reading
O: Observation on a particular part of your daily reading
A: Application of that verse or section
P: Prayer

This program will challenge you to pick up the Word of
God every day. Simply stating, this is a church wide
Bible Study that everyone will be able to participate in
together. Each day you will choose from three options,
depending on how much time you have. The categories
are SNACK, MEAL, and FEAST. Each category will
contain some of the same scriptures as the others; only
differing in their quantity. For example:

SNACK MEAL FEAST

Gen 2:4-25 Gen 2; Luke1: 26-66 Gen 1-2; Luke 1

It is important for us, the Russellville COG family, to
press into the Word of God on a daily bases. We are
currently working on a social media platform to run SOAP
devotions and as soon as we are finished we will make it
available to you!

Give us this day our daily bread ~ Jesus Christ
