In this source I learned of Harriet Tubmans contribution to the abolishment of slavery.
According to this source she was often referred to as the Moses for her generation. I will be
using this source because I am interested in discussing the impact that she made on her
community in the Antebellum period of the South. In this source it was said that Harriet Tubman
described some of her experiences while leading slaves to freedom through the Underground
Railroad.

In this source I came across information regarding Harriet Tubmans name before she was
married. I learned of where she grew up as a child and the daily duties that was expected of her. I

also learned of harsh disciplines that she endured as a field hand. I will be using this source in
my paper.

This source was the most helpful because it provided detailed information of her life from
childhood to adult hood. I was able to answer all of the questions in the paper using this source. I
will be using this source in my paper.

In this source I learned about Harriet Tubmans parents. I was given information on who she
married and when she got married. I also learned of her first escape, and what led her to return
back to her home to free other slaves. This source was helpful in helping me understand how she
got the Underground Railroad started. I will be using this source in my paper.

In this story, I was given detailed information on Harriet Tubmans childhood. I learned what it
was like for her to be a little girl growing up in slavery. Although the Underground Railroad was
something she started later on in her adult hood she always had a plan to someday be free. I am
interested in learning more about her childhood so I will be using this source in my paper.
