I ln Reference to Manual Configuration

Firstly, set up this product by referring to the instructions in separate "Getting Started".
.
This product comes with four other manuals, "Getting Started" and "Setup for FAX Reception" in paper form, On-screen Manual and Online
Manual in digital form.
.
On-screen Manual is a manual which will be available afterthe installation of setup CD is completed. lt provides basic operation of the
product and its specification, system requirements, maintenance tips, regulatory, environment, safety and other need to know information.
Regulatory information is available from the top-page of this On-screen Manual.
.
Online Manual is the browser based manual over the internet. lt provides in detail and updated information on product handlings, software
operation and tips for trouble-shootings.
.
On-screen Manual and Online Manual will be displayed from "Quick Menu" available after the software is being installed- "Quick Menu" is a
portal for Canon lnkjet Printer, which provides easy access to useful menus.
I lmportant Notice
.
When this product is connected to the internet, the Ethernet cable or network devices such as router and/or access point is required
depending on its configuration.
.
USB cable is required when USB connection is selected. This product does not come with USB cable.

For computers without a CD/DVD drive, please visit Canon local website to download and install the printer software.
.
For Mac users, internet connection is required during software installation. Connection fees apply.

When you use the Canon printer for the first time after you install the bundled ink tanks, the printer consumes a small amouni of ink in the
amount to enable printing by filling the nozzles of the Print Head with ink. For this reason, the number of sheets that can be printed with the
first ink tanks is fewer than the succeeding ink tanks.
' Once software is installed, "Useful Functions Available on the Machine" will be displayed. lf you are to utilize Appte AirPrint or Google Cloud
Print, read the instruction in the
"Useful
Functions Available on the Machine". (For limited products only)

I Notes for Energy Saving Setting
For purpose of energy saving, this product will be automatically turned off after designated period without operation (The Auto
power
Off
function).
For instructions on how to change the setting, refer to the On-screen Manual.
I About Consumables
Consumables (ink tanks / FINE Cartridges) are available for 5 years after production of the machine has stopped.

Plugging the power cord incompletely such as half the way.

Plugging in and unplugging the power cord wiih wet hands.

Use of damaged cords caused by pulling, twisiing, tying or excessively bending.

Placing heavy objects on the cord.

Using bundled or knotted power cord.

Connecting excessive numbers of plugs into one electrical ouilet. Using multiple extension cords.

Leaving power cord plugged in while lightning.

Plugging in the cables and power cord during cleaning. Using flammable spray or liquids such as alcohol or thinners for cleaning. Wipe it
wiih a soft dry cloth instead.

Taking apart or modifying the product and accessories.

Unplug the power cord once a month to see if power cord/plug shows anything unusual such as heat, rust, bent, scratch, split and so on.
Unplug the cord/plug and call for service if above is observed since they may lead to a fire or an electric shock afterwards.
lf you hear unusual noises, see smoke, feel excessive heat, smell anything unusual, drop metallic part or spill liquid into the product,
immediately unplug the power cord and call for service. Continued use of the product may result in fire or electrical shock.
