Tubes to this standard shall be delivered with diameters 25-820 mm, wall thickness 2.5-75mm and
length 4.0-12.5 meters.
At present tube manufactures supply tubes with diameters 42-550mm and wall thickness
3.0-75mm.

GOST 8732-87 seamless hot-finished steel tubes
Tube length is subject to agreement between the supplier and the customer; tube length can be random (4.0-12.5m),
specified (within random length) and multiple (within random length plus 5mm tolerance per cut). For tubes with
wall thickness 16mm and over the specified and multiple length is subject to agreement with regard to maximum
billet weight and the tube making process and equipment.
Maximum deviations for the outside diameter and wall thickness shall be dependent on tube size range; they are
calculated in millimeters and percent of the specified size.
Gosstandart (GOST) published and maintained Gosudarstvennyy Standart (State Standards) under the
USSR. Now GOST standards continue to be used by the twelve member countries of the Commonwealth of
Independent States (CIS).GOST standards address industries such as petroleum, chemical, mining and mineral

administered by the Euro-Asian Council of Standardization, Metrology, and Certification (EASC).
EASC continues the international standards work started under the USSR and collaborates with several international
standards bodies including ISO, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and the World Trade
Organization (WTO).
The GOST collection of standards covers general and technical specifications as well as safety requirements. The
GOST standards are useful to businesses performing work in Russia or any of the other CIS countries, which

GOST 8732-87 standards are also useful to suppliers, vendors, and consultants to companies doing
business in Commonwealth countries.
Tolerance for specified and multiple tube lengths are given below:
-for total tube length below 6m: 10mm;
-for total tube length over 6m or outside tube diameter of 152 mm: 15mm.

Tolerances for curvature for any tube part shall not be higher per meter than the values given below:
-for wall thickness below 20 mm:1.5mm;
-for wall thickness 20-30mm:2.0mm;
-for wall thickness over 30mm:4.0mm.
Delivery condition: Hot rolled, Cold worked, Annealed, Normalized, Stress Released
Certificate: ISO9001 TUV
