PREFACE


In order to be able to cope with the changing environment, it is necessary to
have some practical experience in hands of fresh graduate. As a student of Masters of Business
Administration I have passed through a series of various managerial techniques. During this
practical course I have availed an opportunity to learn that how the theoretical knowledge can
be implemented in the practical work.
I was selected for my internship in the NADRA (National Data Base and Registration
Authority). I have been worked for six weeks & it gave me a greater practical knowledge about
the operations of an organization. In the following pages, I have narrated my experience,
observations & all the working activities which I observed during my internship in this
organization.














DEDICATION

I have dedicated this effort to my beloved Prophet
Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) who is my leader. I have
also dedicated to my parents, teachers and friends
whose prayers have made me able to reach where I
am today.

All praises for Allah Almighty the most Merciful, Who guides me in the difficult circumstances. A
person cannot reach at his destination without his blessings.
It gives me great pleasure to place before you the internship report on National Database &
Registration Authority (NADRA) signifying the end of my MBA-HR Program.
My sincere gratitude also extends to Mr. Rana Yasir Nazir (Director Human Resource)
and Mr. Muhammad Mujtaba Zaidi (Assistant deputy director). They helped me in completing
my internship. They helped me to understand the relationship between the employees and
HRM. They briefed about the daily tasks that they perform, what sort of employees they deal
with and the patience and skill level required by these people.
Above all, I would like to thank my colleagues Mr.Faraz (dy. Assistant Director
Muhammad Furqan), Mr.Itzaz, Mr.Farasat, MR.Faraz, Mr.Taha , Ms.Salma, & Ms.Rizwana who
provided me with the opportunity of working on this Human Resource Management issues.
They have sincerely helped me throughout the project. Their guidance enabled me to complete
my project successfully.
Finally, I would like to thank all my well wishers - my mother, sisters, brothers and my
official staff whose prayers, support, trust and confidence encouraged me.











EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

As a student of MBA I have to pass through a series of various managerial techniques, it is
necessary to enter the field because the education given in the universities is not enough to
compete with the worldwide changing situation. This is a good reason why the students of MBA
are being given a fair chance to get a practical experience of the area in which students have to
enter after completing their education.

This report is based on the activities performed during the internship at Management House of
NADRA (National Data Base and Registration Authority). The internship duration was 6 weeks
from 20
th
August to 27
th
September 2013 and it provided the practical knowledge of working in a
professional environment. This learning experience is described in detail in the various sections
of this report.

In the first section, there is some detail about the National Database and Registration Authority
(NADRA) was established as National Database Organization (NDO), an attached department
under the Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan in 1998. On 10 March, 2000, NDO &
Directorate General of Registration (DGR) merged to form NADRA, an independent corporate
body with requisite autonomy to operate independently and facilitate good governance.

Second section includes the overview of organization containing its introduction, mission and
vision. It also identifies organizations product lines and moral values.

The organizational structure and the details are discussed in the third section which includes its
hierarchy chart, number of employees, address of main offices and introduction of all
departments.

The fourth section provides information about the activities that I performed during the
internship. I worked as an internee mainly in HRM and different customer centres of Nadra.

The fifth contain the SWOT analysis, conclusion and recommendations about NADRA.
