(Nurses Week continued from page 1) our nurses to focus on the patient. Its truly the patients that drive our nurses to do the amazing things they do. There are so many great stories to share from all of our nurses, but here are some of their achievements! Were all very proud of them! Amelia Warner - Amelia came to MedStar NRH in October 1987. Upon arrival, her rst role was as a oat-pool nurse. She maintained that role for six months. Later she moved to 3 West as the resource nurse. In January 1989, Amelia was named Team Member of the month. During Nurses Week in May of the same year, she was elected the 1989 Nurse of the Amelia Warner speaks Year. This was a big year for during the Nurses Week awards luncheon in May Amelia, as in 1989 she was 2012. Photo by: Derek promoted to nurse manager. Berry In addition, she acted as director of 3 West for six months. Amelia attended the New Value Ambassadors course in Orlando, with Administration. She served as a New Value Ambassador for two years. Among her awards, she has been the recipient of the Safety Award; The Edward Eckenhoff Leadership Award 2004, and since, has received multiple Class Act Cards.
