TESTIMONIES FROM WORKSHOP APRIL 2014
I don't seem to have the words to express how valuable your workshop was. It has changed my perspective of my
own kids and those in my care. I was so excited to embrace this approach so started the very next morning with my
kids at home. It is so true . . . we need to practice to fully embrace their greatness. We always seem to think that
saying "good job", "you doing great" and "well done" is good enough. Only when I for the first time used
the "notching it up" method did the immediate result and reaction of my children flabbergast me. It was unbelieva-
ble. Even my husband that did not attend was shocked at how quickly we could prevent sibling arguments, stress
around bed time and daily parenting frustrations.
Monday I arrived at school all motivated and encouraged to help the little "Caleb" in my room. It was amazing
and unexpected how I greeted him that morning with a completely different perspective, feeling and understand-
ing. I actually liked him. Throughout the day I had to find the most creative ways to embrace his greatness - (it is
very hard to find him doing something "right"). I complemented him on how he chose a spot on the mat to sit,
I recognised how he chose his colours and how that showed me that he was being creative and independent. I even
acknowledged daily skills that we take for granted, e.g. I expressed to him that I noticed he put on his jumper and
that shows me his independence. At times I felt silly for complimenting such normal, day to day, ordinary actions
and skills. But, I cannot express to you his facial expressions and body language every time I embraced his great-
ness. It very often distracted him from doing the wrong thing, it made him continue doing the right thing and most
importantly it made him feel good about himself.
Thank you so much for this valuable and new perspective as parents and carers.

AMAZING-WOW-FANTASTIC
Best, most worthwhile workshop. This workshop not only helped me as a teacher and parent but also helped me in
myself. Now I know it needs to start with me and unconditional love.
This workshop is a HAVE TO!
This workshop has to go places, especially in early childhood education. This is a message that more teachers
HAVE to hear.

I learnt so much about bringing out greatness in our children. This was an amazing day that will empower you to
have long lasting, beautiful relationships with children in your life and give you tools to truly bring out their great-
ness. Just DO IT!

This workshop is a MUST!
This needs to be implemented in day care centres, early childhood facilities and schools.
What do we need to do to get this to happen?

The workshop provided me with worthwhile tips, strategies and direction. Lillians ability to connect and decipher
great information and share her experiences enabled us to reconsider what we have been doing as parents and
reprogram ourselves and learn to love ourselves first!
If you want to improve your experiences with your kids and yourself you need to attend.

I would highly recommend this program and workshop to any parent, grandparent, carer or educator who wants
to create a closer relationship and positive outcome when relating to children of any age. The Nurtured Heart Ap-
proach and the techniques it provides for calming and empowering children is very unique and not used widely
from what I have experienced. The principles are simple yet very effective and easily implemented into a family,
classroom or individually and can be used for adults as well. If people want closer connection I believe there is no
better approach that I could recommend.
The workshop provided strategies that empower youth and children from a completely different perspective by
praising their greatness in comparison to controlling their behaviour.

This workshop is definitely beneficial for both in the classroom environment and with my own four children. I real-
ly enjoyed it and found it was a very worthwhile workshop. You will leave feeling empowered and liberated. It is
an excellent workshop for Kindys.
Thank you! Both you and Paul are very passionate about what you do and it is contagious! I do have to admit that
it has left me wanting more information and possibly some assistance on really getting to grips with the Nurtured
Heart Approach.
As an educator and a mum, I am very aware of the importance of positive interactions with children but have
found that since the workshop it has been so in the forefront of my mind when dealing with the little people in my
classroom as well as my own teenagers at home. A benefit to all! Hope to learn more about your approach in the
near future.
Many thanks, once again!
