Flaster/Greenberg is proud to once again participate as a headline
sponsor of the 34th Annual Heart Day. Heart Day brings the South Jersey
community together for one purpose — to save lives. This event continues
to spread the message that heart disease does not discriminate. It affects
all ages and races. To continue the mission of raising awareness and
prevention of heart disease and stroke, Heart Day will take place on
Friday, September 15, 2006. This year, it will be held at a grand new
venue — Campbell’s Field — home of the Camden Riversharks baseball
team. It promises to be an evening of fun devoted to local sports and
local celebrities capped off with a grand fireworks display.
Proceeds from this year’s Heart Day will surpass $2 million, which will fund heart disease research and
the purchase of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to be distributed to local communities and
organizations. These life-saving devices are crucial for survival during a cardiac arrest emergency. To date,
over 150 AEDs have been donated to non-profit organizations, schools and police departments throughout
South Jersey, and this year the Heart Day Foundation will donate a total of 100 AEDs. Heart Day is truly
making a direct impact to save lives. In fact, this event has directly saved the lives of 10 people in our
community already.
We are now entering our 11th year as a headline sponsor of this event, and are encouraged by the lives
that have been saved via this organization’s worthy efforts.
