Module 1
Grammar Focus
To match questions in simple present with pictures
To practise making simple present questions by adding missing auxiliaries to the
given sentences
To choose the correct tenses should be used in a sentence (simple present vs present
continuous)
To practise using some common usage of auxiliary have in phrases.


Module 2

Grammar Focus
To practise forming simple past and past continous sentences by listening to a
tapescript talking about four peoples experiences meeting new people.
To complete a story of Julio by using simple past and past continuous appropriately
To match the beginning of a sentence to its counterpart by using when, while,
and because
To practise writing sentences by using (used to, didnt use use to, still not)
To practise using verbs relating to memory such as remember, remind and
recognise and match them with correct objects

Module 3

Grammar Focus
To complete a quiz about facts around the world by using comparative and
superlative adjectives
To form comparative and superlative adjectives according to syllables
To listen to two stories comparing life in Hong Kong and Moscow by using phrases of
comparison.
To complete sentences with apropriate adverbs after adjectives of comparison
(slightly,much)





Module 4
Grammar Focus
To read and understand a story about remarkable twins and take note about the
usage of present perfect
To choose a correct tense (simple past vs present perfect) in a story of the worlds
successful twins
To understand and practise using adverbs of time (for and since) in present perfect
continous
To differentiate the slightly distinct meaning between present perfect and present
perfect continuous sentences
To read and fill in the blank with present perfect present perfect continous about
sara and her family by using verb in the bracket.

Module 5
Grammar Focus
To listen to 6 students talking about their plans using future forms when they finish
their studies (will,going to)
To practise using prompts given to make future sentences
To explain the use of future clauses with (if, when etc)
To choose the most appropriate conjuctions and complete with correct verb forms in
affirmative or negative (because/and)


Module 6

To form adjectives of feeling by using ing and ed (interesting/interested)
To differentiate the meaning of using ing and ed adjectives
To choose the correct form of ed or ing adjectives in sentences
To read stories about the news and highlight the usage of passive voice (verb to be+
pp)
To form the passive voice in simple present, simple past and present perfect
To read 3 stories and choose the correct alternatives of verb in passive forms








Module 7

To discuss the usage of polite forms in your culture
To complete dialogues by using polite forms of modal verbs ( could, may, might)
To understand and practise making offer and instant dicisions by using will
To understand and practise using some common phrases with the verb go

Module 8
Grammar Focus
To explain the usage of relative pronouns
To practise using different relative clauses by using relative pronouns (which, that,
whose, where etc)
To describe the usage of quantifiers such as ( a few, a lot of, etc)





Module 9

To explain the usage of modal verb will in positive and negative forms
The highlight some common adverbs (probably, almost certainly, definitely) used
with modal verb will and wont
To make hypothetical statements for unreal situations by using simple past ( if I
